Legend of Zelda Wii U delayed, no appearance at E3

In a video posted to Facebook, The Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma has stated the company’s intention to scrap previous plans of releasing the new 2015 Zelda installment for the Wii U. 

Since declaring in December during The Game Awards that the game will launch in 2015, the developers have published teasers in anticipation of this year’s release.

During development however, the developers have discovered new possibilities for the installment—causing a shift in priorities, Aonuma said. 

A Nintendo spokesperson has also confirmed that the game will no longer make an appearance at this year’s E3.
