Grave of the fireflies
I just watched grave of the fireflies for the first time and you guys, I am NOT okay.
Baby highland cow gets scritches.
The look on Ryan’s face
LET PEOPLE LIKE RINGS OF POWER! IT DOES NOT MAKE THEM LESS WORTHY OF BEING A TOLKIEN FAN JESUS CHRIST
BUT WHY DO THE BELERIAND ELVES SPEAK QUENYA THOUGH???????
Okay but this bit. This bit. Theo with his arms round both Bronwyn and Arondir. A little family moment in the middle of all the carnage…
Oh god, I love them so much, please let them be happy, please. 😩
You know what would be incredibly funny? If the Rings of Power writers, deciding to ride the plot-sized wrecking ball which Peter Jackson chose to dodge, wrote Tom Bombadil into a future series. He'd fit right into a harfoots plotline and it would be fucking hysterical. I MEAN:
...Tom was here before the river and the trees; Tom remembers the first raindrop and the first acorn. He made paths before the Big People, and saw the little People arriving. He was here before the Kings and the graves and the Barrow-wights. When the Elves passed westward, Tom was here already, before the seas were bent. He knew the dark under the stars when it was fearless – before the Dark Lord came from Outside.
Or:
[Tom] appeared already to know much about them and all their families, and indeed to know much of all the history and doings of the Shire down from days hardly remembered among the hobbits themselves.
I am not normally an embracer of chaos, but oh, please, it would be amazing.
