The Office but it’s just memes
Something really special about Eugene and Kristoff is they are considered consorts.
They become spouses to women who are of royal birth and reign their kingdoms.
Rapunzel and Anna, their girlfriends/wives, were Princesses when they first met Eugene and Kristoff who were eventually crowned Queens (I am only speaking in canon from the film Tangled— despite at the time of meeting Eugene nor Rapunzel knew she was a Princess).
As shown at the end of Tangled/Tangled Ever After and both Frozen films and the Frozen shorts, this fact did not bother the men. They never expressed feeling pressure over being in love with women of royal status or seemed overwhelmed that they would become royalty themselves through marriage. As their relationships progressed Eugene and Rapunzel didn’t let these facts alter their decisions on whether or not they wanted to get married to these women. They never expressed feeling nervous over the responsibilities and duties that came along with matrimony. They didn’t pretend to fall in love only to gain power, status, and a title (LIKE HANS). Marrying a Princess/Queen wasn’t a big deal.
This is because both men looked beyond the women’s status.
All that mattered to Eugene and Kristoff when it came to the relationships were that their true loves were safe, happy, and healthy. That’s all they cared about. Royalty or not. They truly fell in love with Rapunzel and Anna for their hearts, not for their power. Both men willingly and wholeheartedly chose the women they were committed to.
Bonus:
I love this moment between Anna and Kristoff in Frozen 2. Kristoff gets formally dressed for Anna’s coronation and she lets him know in her own words (by flirtatiously saying she prefers him wearing leather) that she likes him the way he is. The way he dresses is perfectly fine and she loves him for it.
Kristoff’s face after Anna says this and walks away is extremely precious. He’s so happy to hear that she loves every part of him.
“Her picture regularly appeared in Black magazines. She honestly looked better in person. She had beautiful eyes and a lovely smile.”- Gil Scott-Heron on his ex-wife Brenda Sykes in his memoir “The Last Holiday: A Memoir”

just read that EIGHTY PERCENT of covid-19 cases in south korea can be traced back to a single person (patient 31) who didn’t self-isolate when they should have. there is no party or bar or event that is more important than protecting potentially thousands of people around you. stay in your damn homes
This will probably be buried, there are a lot of notes already, but I would like to add on Patient 31 is a member of the Shincheonji church which is one of, if not the, biggest cult in Korea. The church is under scrutiny right now for their practices “allegedly” (it’s fairly clear it‘s true) having helped spread the disease. These practices including (as described in the article) “secrecy, the banning of health masks, and praying in close proximity” and the church’s leaders have been accused of purposefully withholding information about its membership, which has made it incredibly hard for health officials to track down and test everyone who came into contact with the virus.
Shincheonji’s founder could face murder charges for this. This is incredibly huge. This cult has been linked to so much shit in Korea and their negligence has lead to death before. Remember Sewol? Yeah, they were connected to that too.
So not only is this an example of how people should stay home, it’s an example of how when people, businesses, organizations, or the government don’t pay attention to experts like health officials on stuff, or ignore laws and rules put in place for our safety, people can die.
We are forced to live in a system that steals from us daily, Kill snitch culture.
Important things to keep in mind!
- never take from ‘mom and pop’ type store. Its likely you’ll actually harm them, whereas taking from a walmart wont effect much.
- never take items that a worker is assigned to monitor (usually super expensive items), theyll be in trouble for it. and its usually a minimum wage worker and usually they lose hours or pay, or they even get fired.
- similar to the above, never take things that are usually locked up for the above reason
- if its a store you know gives their near-expiration products to workers/charity, try to avoid taking the near expiration products.
- if youre taking clothing, avoid leaving hangers. it sounds weird, but itll make it seem like it was more likely an error in the computer than a theft, since the empty hanger sitting there will seem suspicious.
- also for clothing, try not to take more than one item at once, as it will look suspicious if theres 10 medium shirts missing, and it won’t be written off as just a stocking error. and it will lead to workers being penalized
- basically just always consider ‘will this harm a worker’ and if the answer is yes then dont do it
like i was homeless for a while when i was younger and i tried to follow those guidelines to avoid doing harm to people who were probably not much better off than me while trying to get food for myself.
Holy crap, is there like an unspoken thieves code or something?!
it’s a thing. I won’t even lie. I watched someone slip a nursing exam book in their bag at the store I worked at. She made eye contact with me and the blood drained from her face. I simply gave her a sympathetic nod and walked away.
I live in a small town and I knew she was a waitress at a hotel my sister works at, and people at that hotel don’t tip well during off season. Nursing exam books are 50+ bucks. Being a med student myself, I didn’t even breathe a word, and when inventory came up later and the book was missing, I suggested it was likely a mislabel, and the manager wrote it off.
Sometimes, thievery is a necessity. Don’t send people to jail over petty things.
theft for many is survival in this system and taking away from multi-billion dollar companies that are a part of the oppressive capitalist system
I love this post so much. Like, an unbelievable amount.
And they say there’s no honour among thieves.
