You can’t expect me to kill it in the glee club and on the cheerleading squad while reading boring books at the same time! Students need magical adventures in their lives, you know. I am not a MUGGLE ! Merlin’s pants Mr. McCarthy I’m trying to instill variety with my students. Reading the same books over and over isn’t good for you you need to step out of the daydream.

That chill I mentioned before was literally just thrown out your classroom window just now. But good to know. A tough old school learning environment might just be what some students need, keep that in mind as well.

If someone literally just did that then you come to me tell me who it is and we’ll get that resolved. If you’re just saying that to say it then we should have a talk about your sense of humor Mr. Meeks. I have a relaxed style of teaching because I’m preparing you all for what college is going to be like. A lot of professors are very laid back. I at least make it mandatory that since you are all still in high school that you attend my class an do the reading required of you and the homework. If you guys wish to fail that is on your heads for I give you all the opportunity and the proper guidance to get an A in my class, what you choose to do with the options and the opportunities as I’ve said are your choice. 

Which I hope you’ll do Mr. Meeks.

That’s pretty cool. Teachers that are chill like that are easier to get along with. Just hope that kind of laid back behavior doesn’t effect any of your students grade and classroom participation. 

Mr. Meeks if a student chooses not to participate or do there homework it is there issue. If they choose to take advantage of how I teach my class it is again there issue and they will fail. I give you all only one chance before you run out of chances to save your grade in my class.

It is, but that’s how I like the feel of my class to be. I want this to be an informal meeting of minds. I want to be on your level teaching you guys inspiring you guys to succeed without me hovering over you guys. I’m not some 40 year old whose out to make your life hell.

Ah Mr McCarthy please seek out the Syllabus I posted it last night it informs you of what the fall semester will consist of. I hope you are excited for this fall semester and school, because I am. I enjoyed my own summer thank you for asking.

I’m your English Literature Teacher Mr. Anderson, or Mr. Blaine whichever you prefer. There will be a syllabus posted within the next few days about the curriculum of the class and what I expect from you. Also, I will offer office hours during lunch and after school on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for an hour and if you can’t meet those hours make and appointment I will set up a time that’s best for you. 

I hope you guys will enjoy English Literature This year with me I’m excited to be back at Houghton, and I hope you are as well.
