Update… they are both Monsignors now 🥹
"It is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till." - Pope Leo quoting TLOTR in “Magnifica Humanitas”
Vice Commander.
Peace be with you all! - one year ago today, Pope Leo stepped onto the balcony. Here’s to many, many more! 🤍
Your art style is soooo soothing!! Your lines and shading work together so well and it’s so cute and recognisable
Thank you sooo much anon 🥹🫶🏻
It means a lot to hear you compliment my lineart and shading because that’s probably the two things I struggled with the most in the past.
When it comes to lineart, I figured out that working with a single brush works best for me. I use Baskerville in a slightly modified version (stabilizing is up by A LOT) for lines and for shading. The other brush I used I made myself by playing around with a few brushes I liked and then putting them together into a Frankensteins brush kinda 😅 it’s messy and I didn’t knew what I was doing most of the time until I put in the effort to research brushes on Procreate a bit, but I think I figured it out now…
For shading, I still haven’t really figured out what exactly I’m doing, but I try looking at artists I find inspiring and trying to figure out how they work to see if I can adapt some of that into my own personal style. I think one of the most important things as an artist is to have other artists to look up to. No matter your own artistic talent, there are so many incredibly talented people out there, just looking at their work can inspire you to create 😊
Okay I’ll stop myself now. Sorry for the long answer, I know you just wanted to be nice anon so I’m not gonna go deeper… although… I could maybe do a step by step how I draw 🤔 maybe?
Incense. 💨
Very quick Fr. Marco 🖍️
And so the papal travel to Africa comes to an end. What a beautiful continent and what wonderful people!
Matthew 5:9 🕊️
Wishing everyone a happy Easter 🤍
“Only the clothing has changed, and the role. The man remains the same: approachable, calm, with a great capacity to listen, and always available. Despite the heavy workload… he always finds time to meet with people, to listen” - Monsignor Edgard about Pope Leo
🦁 side profile
Posting on here is honestly not the vibe anymore… and it’s not even because I draw super niche things. I’ve met some awesome people in the nichest fandoms where my art didn’t get more than 5 likes at best… but the onslaught of bots that swarm my inbox the moment I post something is really getting on my nerves 😩
Happy Father Marco with his Vatican colored umbrella 😊
Testing out new brushes… (jury is still undecided)
