Network Scientists with Karate Trophies

The first scientist at any conference on networks who uses Zachary's karate club as an example may be inducted into the Zachary Karate Club Club, and awarded a prize, by the current prize holder. This tumblr records those moments.

Arash Badie-Modiri (left) is the 24th recipient of the Zachary’s Karate Club Club prize. For his use of the Karate Club network in his talk at the International Conference on Network Science (NetSci) in Maastricht, Netherlands, he was entrusted with the illustrious trophy by Nicholas Landry (right, awardee #22) in June 2025.
