i dont remember like anything from middle school, just fall out boy and trying not to be gay
people will hate on e-girls, gamer girls ,horse girls, vsco girls, alternative girls, makeup obsessed girls, masculine girls, basic girls, nerdy girls, sports girls, girls who wear revealing clothes, and girls who don’t, confident girls , insecure girls, and literally every other type of girl to ever exist and still pretend that it’s not the misogyny
Despite All My Chub I Am Still Just A Rat In A Tub
Despite All My Wrath I Am Still Just A Rat In A Bath
psych majors should be required to kick it with a mentally ill person for at least 80 hours just to be reminded that we are human and not experiments
As both a psych major and a mentally ill person I cannot begin to tell you how many people I have met in my classes who make me concerned for the safety and health of mentally ill people everywhere, especially the young children who struggle.
My first psychology class was fucking wild. Put of around 35 of us only three (one being a close friend of mine) of us had any sort of mental illness. Intro Psych is mainly about brain development with only a small section at the end being about mental illness but Oh Fucking Boy did everyone’s weird ass stereotypes and fetishes jump out in the last chapter.
We were talking about schizophrenia and the one other girl with mental illness was a schizophrenic (it wasn’t known until this exact moment). We were talking about symptoms when someone just asked outloud, “Aren’t schizos like super likely to murder people though?”
I thought, okay, one guy still stuck in the fucking 80’s, whatever.
But Then A Bunch Of People Start Agreeing
And soon we were 20minutes into class and everyone had shared a case of a schizophrenic murdering, abusing, etc etc and They Saw Nothing Wrong With Thinking These Stereotypes Were A Standard
The prof finally stopped them and asked if anyone wanted to make one last statement and this poor girl just raises her hands and “I just thought you all should know that I’m schizophrenic and have never thought about murdering someone, nor have I ever hurt anyone apart from myself.”
And… no one apologized. They literally felt no guilt at all for bashing this girl.
The same exact thing happened when we talked about depression, anxiety, and ptsd.
“Ptsd is what soldiers get after war right?”
“Yeah sometimes, but anyone can suffer from it after a traumatic event”
“How would you know, are you the professor now?”
“No, but I have ptsd from a car crash that nearly killed me so…”
Like god damn I really fucking hate neurotypicals trying to satisfy some weird curiosity they have for “crazy” people or whatever it is like please stay like 3000ft away from anyone with a mental illness and never fucking talk to them dear god
the most important part of this video to me is the dude deadpan holding his shoe to his ear in the back
Crows are scary They
use tools
Can be taught to speak (like parrots)
Have huge brains for birds
like seriously their brain-to-body size ratio is equal to that of a chimpanzee
They vocalize anger, sadness, or happiness in response to things
they are scary smart at solving puzzles
some crows stay with their mates until one of them dies
they can remember faces
SIDENOTE HERE BECAUSE HOLY SHIT. They did an experiment where these guys wore masks and some of them fucked with crows. Pretty soon the crows recognized the masks = douchebag. But the nice guys with masks they left alone. THEN, OH WE’RE NOT DONE, NO SIR crows that WEREN’T EVEN IN THE EXPERIMENT AND NEVER SAW THE MASK BEFORE knew about mask-dudes and attacked them on sight. THEY PASSED ON THE FUCKING INFORMATION TO THEIR CROW BUDDIES.
They remember places where crows were killed by farmers and change their migration patterns.
Guys I’m really scared of crows now. (q)
Yeah but have you seen this
A colleague of my dad’s lives next to a lake, and looked out the window one morning to see a duck trapped in the ice. A crow swooped down. “Oh hell,” she thought, expecting carnage, because crows are opportunists. But the crow chipped at the ice with its beak until the duck was free.
Idk of this counts but a few crows saved me from a magpie swooping attack once ,they’re bros who can tell when magpies are being unreasonable and need to chill
I love crows so damn much. When I was fifteen, I hit a pretty serious bout of depression, to the point I was in my room for months. Well, a family of crows made a nest in a tree outside my window. There were two parents and two chicks. One chick was healthy and strong. One was weak, and had a caw like something being strained. It sounded more like a rooster crowing and so my parents jokingly named him ‘Buck’.Well… months passed and Buck’s sibling was taught to fly. His parents focused on the sibling because the sibling was strong. The father stayed behind to try and teach Buck, but I saw him try to fly, fail, and crash to the floor. His father helped him back up into the tree.
Every day, I would watch Buck from my window until one day I opened it and started talking to him. He was small and gangly and he couldn’t caw right. His feathers were all over the place and I felt a kinship. So I made a deal with him. I told him that if he could do it, if he could fly, then I could find the strength to get up. Well… near the end of the season, after talking with him every day, I finally saw him get out of the nest. He went to the edge of his branch, braced himself, and jumped… and just before he hit the ground, he soared back up into the sky. I cheered harder than I ever had before.
That winter, Buck left the area. I was crestfallen. I felt like I’d lost a friend. But I was so damn proud of him.
Cut to the next spring? I’m walking up the driveway one day when suddenly I hear a sound… a broken caw. I look up, and Buck is sitting in a tree above my head. He stared at me and puffed his feathers, then hopped down in front of me and cawed again. I was so damn thrilled, and I told him how proud I was of him. He ruffled his feathers and then soared off into his old tree.
That summer? I heard two broken caws. One from Buck… and one from his chick.
Cut to ten years later? We have a family of crows who all have a very distinct caw and they come here and spend every spring, summer, and fall on our property. Buck still greets me every spring.
that last reply made me wanna cry. that’s so beautiful.
Don’t forget the Russian Crow SLEDDING DOWN A ROOF not once, but twice.
this one morning i kept hearing really loud caws, i remember it was like 5am, LIKE REALLY LOUD AND ANNOYING AND AGGRESSIVE, so loud that i could hear it through a closed window, and i eventually went outside to check it out. there was a crow on my front lawn, it had an injury on its head and couldn’t fly and there were two other crows circling right above it, and they were cawing like mad.
i tried to get close and take a better look and one of them dived super low and tried to attack me. so i went back in the house and chopped some sliced raw meat and tossed it at him from a distance.
a few more times later, very soon after, they could tell i was trying to help, and did not attack me. i was “allowed” to walk up close and pick him up, he couldn’t drink water properly so i had to dip my finger in a bowl and stick it in his mouth.
i did this few times a day and it went on for about a week before he disappeared, i thought he recovered and left, but he came back the next day and lands on me, and i see him around the block quite often, and he would come sit on my shoulder for a few minutes and then fly away again. i feel like i’ve adopted a son.
Best birbs !!
your son is Beautiful and Strong
every time I see this post it has different crow stories and every time I reblog it again because all crow stories are good stories
Like, I wouldn’t want to be on bad terms with a crow, but they are a really smart animal, they aren’t scary You just want to be nice to them because they will know and they will remember, and they will pay you back if you treat them a certain way.
As a side note, I volunteered at a rehab (Hope for Wildlife), where they were rehabbing a crow with a broken wing–who was named Russell Crow. He kept pulling his bandage off so a sleeve was cut off some old clothing and put on him like a little sweater.
!!!!
I don’t think I’ll ever not reblog this. This posts makes me cry and smile at the same time.
He’s so handsome!!
Birds . . I like em
Love me a good murder of crows.
my neighbor leaves out a basin of water for a crow named winnie (short for winnifred) who’s beak was damaged when someone threw a rock at her. she can no longer eat food off the ground, only when its floating in water and she ended up bringing her whole family and now our houses are covered in crows
also you may correctly notice there are seagulls. one of them is jonathan and he thinks he’s a crow. he also brought his own family
This might be the best thing I’ve ever seen
Since dropping my Trans Pride fist enamel pin to represent my trans identity in April 2017 and my LGBT+ Rainbow fist pin in early 2018 I’ve been asked when the rest of the flags are coming. I’ve proudly managed to launch Bisexual, Non-Binary, Lesbian (two different kinds!), Pansexual, and Asexual flag pins! I also have POC LGBT Pride & the Original Pride flag pins in production.
It can be pretty expensive to make pins and in order to make everyone happy and ensure I get their flag into production I’ve launched an
Indiegogo campaign
where you can pre-order your flag (at a discount!) and also help fund its production. I asked around to see what flags you wanted to see and I hope I got you all! If not, I will get to you in the future!
Please check out my
Fundraiser
and if you can, pre-order a pin (or check out my other fun perks). Sharing this post helps heaps! Lets get this done!
Keep up with my progress on my

This might just be a Me thing but sometimes it annoys me when the main problem bi women face is painted as “bi erasure” which I suppose can encapsulate many things but it’s mostly used as “no one thinks ur valid and that ur sexuality is real” which like ok. Yeah true but that’s not the biggest problem we face and making it out to be just seems...diminishing I guess. Like we’re seen as untrustworthy, unfaithful, deceptive people and we’re at a very real, very high risk of domestic violence. So acting like the biggest issue we face is people not thinking we’re “valid” seems like misconstruing the problems bisexual women go thru imo.
fixed it!
