Like yes 13 and the TARDIS reuniting was ultimately sweet but it was also….like, objectively a bit hilarious when you remember how bicker-y couple-y they can be, like, after this last regeneration the TARDIS was done, changing again without permission?? Fire all over my console again?? TARDIS took a stand and dumped her loser thief right out into the stratosphere. Went and got herself a new paint job, redecorated the console all by herself with no imput, like it just comes across as when you have a bad breakup and immediately change your hair or go shopping to deal with it. Flew herself to some other planet and wasn’t stabilizing because she was emotionally unstable over this breakup - but then the Doctor shows back up all bright eyes and sweet smile and glowing compliments and after a few minutes the TARDIS just let’s her back in!! Even with the new strays!! Even made the Doctor breakfast!! This time machine is a goddamn lovesick FOOL for her idiot thieving nerd and I am weak for this ridiculous dynamic. We love an interspecies codependent disaster couple. Icons.
