John Noble. Pleased to make your acquaintance. Stranded here after some parallel universe shenanigans. I've got a TARDIS, though, so that's something. I guess I'll just have to make the most of it. "Two months." Lily answers. She clocks out and takes off the apron. Having to keep up appearances only, Lily and her older twin brother has to do something to keep them blend in while their younger siblings are still in school and when they're not traveling.

"Do you like it?" He asked curiously. "I mean, I've often found myself bored by regular jobs. Not that I've had many," he added. "I try to avoid them whenever possible." If only she knew the wonders of travelling all of time and space. Real life always seemed to pale in comparison.

John sighed. Really not my day. “I’m sorry!” He called out, slowly getting to his feet. “Please don’t shoot!” He held up his hands in what he hoped was a friendly, non-violent manner. Now was really not the time for him to be attacked by some Time Lady who had just happened to be in the area. Not when-

"Urgh," John groaned, leaning over the nearby railing. "Sorry about this," he  said. "I was just… stopping by… but there was this alien vase… and the guards came… And they tied me up and… stuff." He coughed violently. "Anyway, I just escaped, and I thought this was the right wardrobe, but it really wasn’t and if you just give me a couple minutes to”-he groaned-“catch my breath… I’ll be right out of your hair.”

John took half a second to gather himself a little, before slowly turning to face the Time Lady (she better have been - if some random had come and messed with his TARDIS interface he was going to be furious.He smiled at her. Yep, definitely not my TARDIS. “Sorry again about this.”

She slowed down to a stop, looking at him with a mixture of frustration and pity, because he didn’t seem to be in very good shape. “I’m not going to shoot you,” she said, waving the spanner she was still carrying in her hand, “but if you make any sudden moves I will defend myself.”

His explanation made her furrow her brow, and the coughing and the groaning made her lower the spanner into a less threatening position. “An alien vase? What ever would you want with an alien vase? And what do you mean the right wardrobe? I assume you were looking for a place to hide—and who can blame you, considering you’ve been tied up and heaven knows what else…”

Her earlier caution and anger seemed to slip away for the most part and she came a bit closer, looking at him with curiosity. “Who are you? You don’t seem too terribly shocked at the bigger on the inside bit.”

John began to relax a little, relieved she seemed to be telling the truth. As long as he wasn't dead, things were fine. He could work from there. If only he hadn't been so stupid and gotten himself captured by those guards, things would have been fine! He'd only wanted to see the vase, after all. Honestly, between the whole situation with the peaches and the "Thousand Years Fire War" he really should have learnt his lesson by now. That's it, he decided. From now on I'm just going to-

John interrupted his own train of thought with another coughing fit. "Could you, uh," he leant against the railing, "could I please have some water?" There was a strange burning sensation in his chest. He shifted uncomfortably. "I think whatever they did... it's getting worse," he tried to explain.

"Who am I? Well," he mused. "I'm not exactly human, not exactly Time Lord." He glanced up at her. "Metacrisis," he introduced himself. "I"m John. And I'm guessing you're a full Time Lady?"

"You and everyone else." Lily says as she takes the money from him to cash him out. Everyone uses either a credit card or the new invention of the app that let’s people use their cell phones to scan their bank account number. 2031 is really advancing in technology.

John shrugs his shoulders. "To be honest, I don't usually carry much money with me." He tends to rely on his sonic for that, but he isn't exactly going to tell that to some stranger. "I usually just hope I don't need to buy anything." He smiled at her. "So have you worked here for long?"

Andromeda was working on a couple of relays beneath the floor of the console room that had sparked while she was in transit. She certainly wasn’t expecting any company—she hadn’t really even paid much attention to what was outside yet.

So when she heard the door open and someone thud onto the floor above her, she sat up quickly and bashed her head on one of the struts criss-crossing the space. She swore loudly and left what she was doing to climb back up onto the floor level and defend her TARDIS from this unwanted intruder.

Despite the telepathic mind-lock the ship was equipped with, it wouldn’t be the first time the ship let in a stranger. Thinking back on the times it had happened before, there was generally a good reason for the TARDIS letting them in. That didn’t make Andromeda any less defensive, though.

Or any less cross.

"OI!" she shouted at the man as soon as she spotted him. "What do you think you’re doing?"

John whirled around the TARDIS console room in delight. "I haven't visited Elsantoris in years!" He said exuberantly to no one in particular (well, not that anyone was there). He flipped a lever in the TARDIS casually, half-dancing in circles around the console. 

He still wasn't sure he'd quite wrapped his head around the whole actually-having-his-own-TARDIS thing yet, but it definitely felt good. Right. None of that odd, uncomfortably feeling of wrongness he'd gotten in the Pete's World. This was... liberating. He grinned, adjusting the stabilisers slightly before landing the TARDIS (gracefully, mind you - none of the Doctor's uneven, dodgy piloting).

He spun to face the doors, heart racing with the oh-so-familiar feeling of exhilaration that always emerged when he was faced with new prospects. Grabbing his jacket, he shot out of the TARDIS, sprinting out into the open air.

Clear skies, fresh air and a bright, vibrant atmosphere. Elsantoris had not changed at all. John was practically brimming with energy. A light spring in his step, he wandered down the nearest street.

"Excuse me, could you please let me know where the nearest library is? I can’t seem to read this map properly." John smiled winningly at the person next to him.

"Uh, sure…" Returning the smile, Skye gestured for the map, before she gently took it from him and tried to find their current location.

John put his hands in his pockets, grinning cheerily at passersby, who only glared at him or looked vaguely terrified. Oh well. He leaned over the girl's shoulder curiously. 

"I'm John," he added. "And I promise, I can usually read maps. Sometimes. Every now and then. Okay," he amended, "maybe I just stare at them and then throw them in the trash, but still! Getting lost is always fun, isn't it? Part of the adventure."

John scrutinised the girl in front of him. Nope, not familiar.

"Well…" he considered. He scratched the back of his head absently. "I’m not really sure how I got here. Or what I’m doing, to be honest. I meant to be go to the library." He paused. "Or maybe it was the sweet shop. And there was this repairs warehouse that looked kind of interesti-" He caught himself, grinning awkwardly. "Sorry, I’m rambling. John Noble," he held out a hand.

Smiling, Lily puts in the order and goes to make the drink. It was a slow day, so she doesn’t mind doing this one on her own.

Coming back; she rings him up. “$3.12,” Lily tells him.

John pulled out a random bill and squinted at it. Yep, seemed about right. $5.00. That works. He presented it with a flourish.

"It's a little crumpled, I know, but then again," he shrugged. "I haven't used money in a while, anyway."

John stumbled into the hallway painfully. Where did I leave my TARDIS again? He lurched into the opposite wall, groaning. I've got to stop getting myself into these situations...

He was fairly certain he'd left his TARDIS just around the corner (well, relatively certain. Vaguely. He had a general idea). He stumbled awkwardly, grabbing a nearby bench to steady himself. Come on, they'll be here any minute... John swung himself around the corner, praying to every entity that he knew existed (and a few that he knew didn't) that it would be the right hallwa- yes! He could see a wardrobe. His TARDIS had disguised herself as a wardrobe. Finally. Luck - increasing. 

John grabbed the door and, with renewed strength, opened it and threw himself inside. Only to collapse onto the floor in a whirl of limbs. Ow, dammit. But still, the wardrobe was definitely bigger on the inside. My TARDIS. Good. Didn't leap into an actual wardrobe again. He reached out for the nearest railing to pull himself up. Okay, still alive. That's do-able. All system's go. He glanced up, only to stop dead, eyes widening in shock.

...Okay. Not my TARDIS.

"I’d recommend the pumpkin spice. But if that’s not your type of thing, then just some regular coffee." Lily recommends to him. Since it’s early October; everything is pumpkin flavored right now.

"Pumpkin spice..." John considers. His eyes light up. "Coffee... with pumpkin! That's genius. That's really, properly, brilliant. I'll have that, please." He grins again.

Here’s what Amendment 67 would really do:

Outlaw all abortion in Colorado, even in cases of rape and incest.

Ban some of the most common and effective forms of birth control, including the Pill and IUDs.

Make it illegal for a pregnant women with cancer to choose treatment that could save her life.

Restrict options for women wanting in vitro fertilization.

Any birth that isn’t a live-birth — so miscarriages and still births — could be deemed suspicious deaths and would be investigated by police.

Laughing a little, Lily says “Yes, this is a coffee shop and there’s tons of flavors to choose from.” She waves her hand to the board menu that is hanging on the wall.

John pretends to scan the menu, whilst giving the entire a cafe a once-over. What is he really doing there? In truth, he has no idea, and he really does hate not knowing. And where's his TARDIS? He gives her a sideways glance. She seems harmless. Best to just go along with it, he decides. He turns back to the girl.

"Well, what would you recommend me, Lily Smith?" John asks, beaming somewhat like a young child.

Shaking his hand, Lily says in her Boston accent “Lily Smith.” He almost does look like her dad’s 10th self, but she doesn’t think too much over it.

John glanced around curiously. Parallel London... basically London, he mused. There were (obviously) slight differences. A missing cafe here, a museum instead of an art gallery, an art gallery instead of a museum... But London, busy, bustling London was the same as ever. 

And... now I'm stuck here. Not sure if that's a good thing or not, could be bad, could be absolute rubbish, but worst case scenario, I'm just trapped here for the rest of eternity. That's not so bad. Got a TARDIS and everything. This'll be fine. Rose will cry. Jackie... won't. Again, fine. Travelling the stars, the good old days. I should go visit Calabrillia, that was fantastic last tim-
