Thomas cleared his throat and shuffled in his seat, he couldn’t stop fidgeting. He thought of the possible things he could come back with but nothing was good enough to turn the tables back on Newt, so all he did was shuffle on the spot and bit his lip, while his mind kept telling him to calm down.

“Tommy, relax.” Newt chuckled softly, reaching out to gently rub at his friends arm. “I’m just taking the piss out of you. I’m not trying to make you have a buggin’ heart attack.” Newt gave Thomas a smile smile, trying to convey with his eyes how he felt.

Thomas didn’t look away from the TV screen but tried to hide the nervousness and the blush that crept onto his cheeks. He didn’t know why he was nervous, he had no reason to be. It was just the effect that Newt had on him. “I-I-Uh-” Thomas blushed.

Newt chuckled, “I can’t say I’d have a problem with that, but you already figured that out, didn’t you?” Newt couldn’t help but smile a bit seeing Thomas flustered was a rare sight and Newt was enjoying himself a bit. Thomas had a way of making Newt blush and turn into a mess but for once the tables had turned and Newt wasn’t about to let the opportunity go.

Thomas smirked he had no preference on being top or bottom. “Well lucky for you I have no preference.” Thomas spoke before he thought. “I mean uh- just ignore that.” Thomas blushed.

Newt couldn’t help the smirk that slipped onto his face, taking his chance to tease Thomas. “Why is that lucky for me? Do you have plans to get me naked anytime soon?” Newt chuckled. his eyes holding a teasing light to them. Newt liked seeing Thomas blush and he couldn’t help but try and bring that out; but Newt was partially hoping Thomas wouldn’t be opposed to the idea.

Thomas smirked, “so does that mean you prefer being bottom?” Thomas didn’t know why he asked this. He assumed it was just curiosity but he enjoyed the fact that they two of them can talk about anything.

Newt blushed the slightest bit, “Yeah, mostly. I mean, I like trading off but I prefer to be on the bottom. It’s more fun.” Newt shrugged a little, it wasn’t like he knew from experience but he had a vivid enough imagination .

Thomas thought for a second. What did make girls so attractive? He couldn’t say appearance because that was what also drew him to guys, he couldn’t say personality either. Thomas sighed “I guess it’s similar to whatever makes guys attractive, I guess I can’t explain it completely.” Thomas looked closely at Newt and asked. “What makes guys attractive to you and not girls?”

Newt scrunched up his nose a little as he thought about Thomas’s question, wanting to word it right. “I mean, I’m not completely sure, but I know there are things I don’t like about girls. Like boobs, they just get in the way and they’re not comfortable.” Newt shook his head a little, “And the idea of having sex with a girl just makes me a little wigged out. Especially since I’d always have to top.”

Thomas continued to blush at the conversation they were having. He liked it when Newt was open about stuff, it made Thomas feel good.

Newt chuckled, shaking his head slightly before looking at Thomas, “Are girls really all that great? I’ve never understood the appeal but you seem to, so maybe you can explain it to me?” Newt was curious as to what happened in straight boy’s minds or even Thomas’s because as try as he might in High School, Newt never found girls attractive.

Thomas tried to hide the smirk on his lips as he looked at the screen. He knew he’d messed with Newt’s mind and Thomas couldn’t help but smile at his achievement. Though Thomas was smiling he didn’t mean to mess with Newt that much. So Thomas did feel a little bad, but hey happy accidents. Thomas decided to innocently place his arm around Newt’s shoulders, he meant this innocently but he didn’t know what was going on in Newt’s head.

Thomas just laughed at Newt’s comment, he understood what Newt was on about. “Agreed.” Was all Thomas could think to answer.

Newt tried not to squirm when Thomas put his arm around him, hoping that the boy couldn’t feel how hard his heart was pounding. It took him a moment but he relaxed into Thomas’s touch, leaning against the shorter boy, his hand moving to rest on Thomas’s thigh, absentmindedly drawing little designs with his finger. 

 "Got a thing for skinny blondes Tommy?“ Newt teased, a smirk on his face, as he watched Draco on screen, turning his gaze to look at Thomas out of the corner of his eyes. Newt was a torn between being a cocky asshole and knowing the answer and an insecure boy unsure of Thomas’s feelings toward him, and it was all coming out in a strange mess. Newt was shucked.

Thomas shrugged a little before he said: “Some blondes, as attractive as Draco is I don’t think I’d tap that. You?”

Thomas didn’t know what was going on between the two of them at this moment but Thomas was enjoying it, he couldn’t tell if he preferred the teasing, the flirting or even the fact that the two of them were so close at this moment. Thomas just concluded that all three were good options.

“I gotta agree with ya there, I wouldn’t want to tap that.” Newt paused ever so slightly, a smirk growing on his face. “But I wouldn’t mind if he tapped me.” Newt winked at Thomas before he turned his gaze back to the TV. Newt wasn’t usually so open about his personal life, especially not his nonexistent sex life, but with tommy he felt a strange urge to share and hint and Newt wasn’t sure why that was.

Thomas’ face grew a shade of pink at Newt’s words, or was it the wink that made Thomas blush. Either way Thomas smirked and subtly tried to cover his cheeks with his hands.

“Well if we’re on that topic then I wouldn’t mind a Weasley boy or girl, to be honest.” Thomas said when his cheeks lost their pink tint.

Newt felt proud od himself for making Thomas blush and he smiled a little to himself. "The weasley's aren't my type but I guess I can see that."

Newt shrugged a bit, "But if I was going to pick a girl iy would be hermione or luna."

Thomas knew that Newt wasn’t really ginger but in certain light he looked a little ginger. Thomas had made a comment or two in the past. Thomas had to admit teasing Newt was a brilliant idea, even though he didn’t know why he knew that he enjoyed messing with Newt just that little bit.

Newt stared at the movie screen harder than he ever had in life yet he could hardly grasp what was going on in the film. Thomas's words had wormed their way into his thoughts and now he was trying his hardest not to think about them too much; or think about how Thomas whispering in his ear had turned him on.  Usually Newt wasn’t so easily bothered by people, he was able to easily tune them out and ignore them, but Thomas was a different story. If Thomas so much as moved Newt could tell and his mind was immediately thinking of the boy. It had become a bit of a problem, especially over the past two days. 

Newt tried to pull himself back from his thought when he saw a flash o blonde hair on the screen, deciding to tease Thomas back just as much. “Someone in the wardrobe department hates every Draco fan out there. It’s not fair that half the character are wearing uniforms two sizes too big and Draco gets a tight fitting suit.”

“Kay.” Thomas agreed as he placed the Half Blood Prince in the DVD player and taking a seat next to Newt.

“And for the record I have a thing for gingers.” Thomas whispered in Newt’s ear as the film began to play.

Newt smiled and stretched his legs out in front on him. When Thomas sat down Newt had expected some snarky remark about Ginny so when Thomas leaned in to whisper in his ear newt couldn’t fight off the shiver that went through him. Newt knew was wasn’t ginger, he was blonde, but there were similar hair colors and the way Thomas said it made Newt feel like he was teasing the other just a bit.

Thomas laughed at Newt’s silliness but agreed with his predicament. “I get you, Ginny or Peeta, I can’t choose.” Thomas laughed at himself this time.

Thomas thought to himself then thought of a solution. “Harry Potter marathon then a Hunger Games marathon?” Thomas asked turning to Newt for an answer.

“Ginny? You need better taste.” Newt teased, slipping his phone back into his pocket and grabbing all the blankets and pillows from his bed to throw them on the floor so they could watch the TV easier. “Deal. We can start with Half blood prince if you want. That’s when everyone get shot anyways.” Newt teased, “Besides, Draco Malfoy is heavily featured and I can’t argue with that.”

“As much as I’d love to I can’t.” Thomas sighed, he would love to sleep with Newt in his arms but he was concerned he would have another one of those dreams.

But saying no just made Thomas feel bad, especially having to think of an excuse. “Oh why not.” Thomas sighed again slowly moving to lay down on the bed.

Newt felt a twist in his chest when Thomas said no, thinking that Thomas was upset with him. Newt never should have told Thomas that his dream was about him, chances were that Thomas would limit their hugs and physical contact now and Newt didn’t want that. Newt suddenly felt very guilty. 

When Thomas seemed to change his mind, Newt’s face lit up and he smiled. “We can order pizza and have a lazy day. It’s been far too long since I’ve had one of those.”

Thomas smiled at the idea of having a lazy day with Newt. A day of just the two of them alone sounded like an amazing plan.

“Which movie shall we watch first? Or is it still nap time?” Thomas questioned, as he rubbed his hand across Newt’s back.

“Movie first. Nap time later. I’m starving. Why do they you pick the film and I’ll order the pizza?” Newt smiled, leaning into Thomas’s touch. Newt wanted nothing more than to shut out the world and just enjoy Thomas’s company.

Yesterday had been very strange for Newt and he was still exhausted, which meant a lazy day with Thomas was the best thing he could think of.

Thomas nodded, slowly he got up from where he sat on the bed and went to look at Newt’s collection of movies, the two of them had watched every one on the stand but it was a case of picking favourites.

“Okay so there’s -uh- Hunger Games, Big Hero 6, something else Disney or a Harry Potter marathon.” Thomas turned to Newt, Thomas wasn’t a fan of picking things so he still asked for everyone else’s opinions.

Newt chuckled at Thomas' s question as he picked up his phone and started to dial the pizza parlor. "Harry Potter or Hunger games. " As the phone started to ring Newt smirked over at Thomas, "Draco or Finnick, both keep me entertained with their eye candy." Newt teased, turning his attention back to the phone.

"Yeah two large pizza's. One with pepperoni and olives, one with just cheese. Oh and a side of bradsticks. Thanks mate."

“You know I’m trying to make you feel better by say it doesn’t matter to me (which it doesn’t)” Thomas started, he was telling to truth about it not mattering but that didn’t seem to be comforting to Newt. “Do you want me it’s weird? Would that make you feel better?” Thomas asked.

Thomas used his free hand to rub his eyes, he still had a little sleep in them. He had decided to gently lean his head against Newt’s, he was worried he’d crossed a line but he was holding Newt’s hand and has already kissed him twice.

“No, no I just...nevermind.” Newt shook his head, wanting to get this conversation over with. Thomas didn’t seem to understand at all the situation Newt was in and or the first time ever Newt suddenly wished Thomas didn’t. 

When Thomas leaned against Newt, he smiled gently and wrapped an arm around the brunette. Newt knew that when Thomas did find out his feelings he’d probably be upset, maybe never talk to him again, but for now Newt could cling to what he had. “Are you sleepy? We can take a nap, yesterday was pretty draining.” Newt smiled softly, his offer was a genuine one.
