Love being fun and silly with strangers… Today at the farmers market the hummus guy saw my bag and was like “We’re filling that up right??” and I was like Twist my arm!! and we both hooted. Then at the end he was like “By the way the baklava is only half sliced so make sure to slice before serving… that is, if you’re going to share!!” and I was like “Oh I wouldn’t count on that!! 😉😉” and we shared another hearty laugh. "Yeah," she remarks smugly, "they looove me on eBay. I've bid on some crazy stuff lately, like Shatner's old toupee. What can I say, I enjoy having knick-knacks!" She eyes an unopened box nearby; she'd honestly forgotten about it until now. It was one of many she'd received lately, and she was sure the UPS guy was tired of seeing her address by now.

"You wanna unpack some Beanie Babies with me? I got 'em from some guy in Norway."

Rained out. Ain't that just the way... Shannon sighs, puts her chin in her hand and watches the downpour outside. A few seconds later, she perks up again, remembering she has company!

"It's alright, we can be stupid all night! We don't need to go out and do stuff when we have all we could need right here!" She gestures to the coffee table laden with board games, and the magazines placed on a side table, and the TV... and then it hits her. The microwave...

"You ever tried giving yourself a tan in one of these? I heard it's mostly for your head."

"They'll rip your head off just for fun, they'll paralyze your mind!" Shannon's discussing a new movie she'd seen recently, after work, of course. She'd never be caught discussing sci-fi films on during work hours!

"They'll suck your brain out through a straw; you just can't trust those guys! So, hide the children, lock the doors, and always watch the skies! Look out, here come the Slime Creatures from Outer Space!" It's accompanied by her making appropriate sound effects and gestures for everything. It almost makes you wonder if you even need to see the film anymore when she's this descriptive... And for the cherry on top, a final joke, because even she knows when she's almost hit her silly limit with people.

"Who ya gonna call? Slime Creatures!"

"Once, not very long ago, I was respected! I was popular! But now I hang my head in shame... My life is filled with such regret, a bad mistake I can't forget, and now I'll never be the same...," Shannon sighs, ending her dramatic spiel with furrowed brows as she pulls out her phone just in time for it to showcase the source of her frustrations: the ringtone.

"Why did I buy this stupid ringtone?" She fiddles with her phone in frustration, managing to hang up whatever spam call it was before she looks back up at Dorian. "Don't even suggest deleting it... 'cause I hate to waste a buck ninety-nine! Hey, I paid good money for this ringtone!"

It was just supposed to be a catching up conversation, nothing crazy, and yet...

"I lost one of my socks in the drier, I can't find my wallet, and my hair is on fire!"

Cue Shannon trying to find something to put it out, ultimately deciding to shove her head in the sink and turn the faucet on full blast. When her panic's gone, she turns it off and sheepishly peaks at Shy through pathetically drenched locks.

"It's just one of those days! Ever have one of those days?"
