I've been away from here - and social media in general - for a bit, but I saw this and had to respond. Sometimes in moments like that, we all just need a kind voice to tell us it'll be okay, and there's no shame in that. There's nothing sad about wanting that. I'm glad to be that for you. If I could, I'd throw in an extra-warm hug and a cup of homemade cocoa.

I may not know the particulars, and you don't have to go into any details. What matters the most right now is that you're aware of two things:

1) You're still here. As long as there's breath in your lungs, it's never too late to make it better. It might not result in the outcome you hope for, but it could be just what you need.

2) You matter. Please, never forget this. So often we try to take care of everyone around us, but we forget to take care of ourselves. We deserve all the love we give, and we miss it so often. The love we give ourselves means so much more, and if you haven't already, it's time to start the journey to that place.

I don't know you, but I care about you, and want you to pull through. And I'll be around whenever you need a rest stop to sit and breathe for a while.
