i'd had some real fancy post for this, but i kept forgetting about it or was just too tired to bother opening tungle, so HERE IT IS:

i'm going to be on hiatus until mid-december / early january due to school and work ( which i only do 2 days a week, but i'm a socially anxious nerd working as the only tutor for my subject so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ).

because i’m a big ol’ jerk – i’ve changed katrin’s name to cordelia. why? because the lack of symmetry between her name and christoph’s was slowly driving me crazy.

Lina released her chin. She’d only just gotten in to town and this wasn’t what she hoped to be greeted by. “I don’t know what to say,” she muttered, it was strictly a lie, which anyone who knew the girl would have know as talking was something she excelled at. “I want you to get clean,” she said, pacing away from her, biting at her nails. “I really thought you’d kicked this thing with everything Chris and Saskia have been through with you,” she sighed and ran her hands through her hair. “I thought, no, I know you can do this, and I know it’s hard and I don’t know how not to seem frustrated and disappoint.”

She bit her lip and frowned more. “I shouldn’t have gone back to New York, or I should have taken you with me or I should beat Christoph stupid for not looking out for you because he  p r o m i s e d  me that he would do that. And I know you always want to defend him, but I don’t want to heard it, please, just let me be angry at him.”

Even if she’d wanted to, Kat couldn’t argue with her best friend to defend her brother simply because of how high she was in that moment; it was really a miracle that Lina hadn’t shown up to find her passed out on the floor and overdosing.

“Mm. I thought I had, too. Hadn’t even thought about drugs in a long while,” she lazily started, moving away from the other woman to settle herself on the large and definitely hideous armchair situated nearby. “But I haven’t talked to them in a few weeks anyway. Then, last night...I had a nightmare about him and I got that feeling -- the urge to get myself so fucked up I could forget.” Sighing, Kat ran a hand down her face before rubbing at her aching eyes, refusing to look at Lina; hearing her disappointment was enough for her, SEEING it would just drive her crazy. “Can you be angry while you sit?”
