proof that you CAN use math in every day life😌✌🏼
Bird #22: Lesser Flamingo
Avian August day 13! I almost didn't add the pipecleaner legs but am I so glad that I did. They've gone from just okay to possibly my new favorite. Lesser flamingo I love you and your silly little legs!!
More photos below because I love this bird so much.
Lydia Hansen Introduces Hikers to Native Midwest Mushrooms on Crocheted ‘Fungi Hunts’
Excuse I hope it is not trouble I ate some sun
It is the perfect shape for a hat now
So it's not worms right now it's roses
Bird #18: Lilac-breasted Roller
Avian August day 9! I'm quite pleased with how this one turned out - the colors go together better than expected. I may go back someday and attempt to add in the two long tail feathers.
Terrible news: I forgot the face marking!
All fixed <3
While I was adjusting them anyway, I also took the time to add in the extra tail feathers I was thinking about yesterday!

Giant lepidopteran tutorial
Materials, steps, and tips under cut:
I’m almost done with the Moose sweater! Progress pic from earlier..
Again haven’t been posting as much bc they like to just sleep beside me while I work and while I knit lool, but the Moose one is almost done…
Also Moose will get a sweater vlog on youtube but it won’t be posted until after Jimmy’s i think.. it’s his channel so it’s only fair
I just got it off the needles!!! He loves it!! I just need to do armhole edges and then wash…
Bird #13: Common Bronzewing
Avian August day 4! This was a difficult bird to simplify, but I think I did quite well. I keep giggling at the accidental angry side eye too.
After my tiny worm pattern and being away a week I still cannot get knitting worms out of my head so I am doing more of my very normal knitting patten research
Picked out the Lumbricus Terrestris as my model as it's a common native worm where I am, with that classic worm look
Some experimental bees from awhile back! I was testing out different feet options here so I could have a bee pattern that stands up nicely.
The one on the left uses bobble stitches, while the one on the right is triple crochet in the front loop then slip stitched to the back loop (a technique I picked up from a Complicated Knots video).
