New Extender Setup Method: WPS
WiFi Protected Setup or WPS allows you to get connected to a secure WiFi network without typing any network login credentials. With the help of WPS button present on your Netgear range extender, you can bring your device online. To use WPS to connect your Netgear WiFi extender to your router, follow the below-mentioned steps.
Turn ON both your Netgear WiFi extender and your existing router. Try to keep them 1-3 feet distance apart from each other.
Wait till the LEDs present on both the devices turn solid.
Press the WPS button present on the back or side of your range extender.
Now, wait for two minutes to get it sync with your WiFi router.
After that, try to connect your computer with Netgear extender extended network.
Open any of your preferred web browsers and visit mywifiext website to test the Internet connectivity.
Important Note- If your WiFi router supports the 5GHz band and your Netgear range extender do not connect to that band, repeat the WPS process again.
