...alright guys. You don't need a license to be psychic but being a licensed psychic helps verify that you're not a con artist. The association also offers financial support and jobs offers for psychics since it can be difficult to hold a normal 9-5 with certain psychic abilities. It's like a general aid organization I guess??? I'm not really sure what to call it.

The office is open again, sorry for radio silence, I've been running back and forth with some jobs.

The hue doesn't change when lifted but Ethan can see further details masked by the shirt. Leaning in closer, the medium takes note of how deep it is, the fact it looks like it's been both entered and exited out of, and the still present connection it seemed to have with the cause.

" Well I might be able to do something, but not if you're gonna have an attitude about it and ignore it. Just be careful with interacting with whatever caused that."

He supposed he can't blame Green for being dodgy. It's not exactly easy to speak about these things, especially with a stranger.

"Not floating well... If it having any other symptoms? Do you have the pokemon with you right now?"

He glares at Ethan with brows furrowed.

"There's nothing to be done about it anymore." well, he can't see aura; to him it's just a year old scar now. "And it's not like I have any choice in the matter anymore."

He cuts Ethan before he can ask more about his ailment. He's not here for it, he's not about to trust this probably charlatan with something that serious. Spectrier could kill too easily after all.

"I didn't bring them here, because It'd just be crying the whole time. I rescued it in Viridian's Forest. It was being eaten alive by caterpie that thought it was a normal pumpkin.

Sabrina, the Gym Leader, helped them a little but it only ever manages to float when it's not scared... and they're always scared."

At least he looks genuinely worried about his pumpkaboo.

His face scrunches, fighting back the various ways he wants to tell Green to shut up or stop being an idiot. Connection to the supernatural could be dangerous, you couldn't half heartfelt investigate it. It either had to be ignored and kept you in the dark completely or you had to go through the painstaking process of getting down to the very route of the issue.

But that's not why Green is here. He said it himself.

"That makes it a little more difficult you know. You might as well just look for an answer online if you don't want a professional to see your pokemon."

He snips, but then he thinks. Sabrina.. right, she was a psychic too. If there was anything spiritually attached to it surely she would have told Green.

"When she helped it did she mention any spirits being held inside it. One of the most common reasons for a Pumpkaboo being able to fly is that it's holding a spirit from before it was caught. If it wasn't able to release it after capture the spirit can become a physical growth on the pokemon and weigh it down.

If it isn't that though.... I'd have to meet the pokemon to talk to it personally. Cuz if it's an emotional issue that's something I have to be more hands on with."

That glare strikes him in a way he didn't expect, making his neck prickle with a shameful familiarity. It was the same look skeptics always gave him when he knew something he shouldn't behave, something no one could ever possibly know. It's Ethan's turn to glare now, face scrunching up in a way he does Not hide very well.

It then relaxes in a cooly dull expression, tilting his head and crossing his arms to coping Green's previous pose. "I know about it because I'm looking right at it. I wasn't playing around when I told you I was a psychic. It's right there. The purple, right?"

Ethan points, right where Green's hand is, the soft glow as he gets agitated slipping between his fingers. Ethan isn't looking at Green anymore, instead he's looking right at the scar as if Green's hand was never there.

It's not the first time he meets someone with those 'powers'. He does know Sabrina pretty well after all, she was always there for gym leader gatherings; and she was always awfully scary to him. Not that he'd ever admit it.

Defeated, he pulls up his shirt for Ethan to see. A long, ugly scar alongside his left ribs, looking fairly normal, except maybe the psychic would see it differently.

He then covers himself again, flustered.

"I'm not here for this, though. I don't think you'd be able to do anything about it anyway." he brushes off this matter. "I simply came here to ask for help with my... Pumpkaboo. It doesn't float pretty well."

Green is met with squinting eyes, bewildered, disbelieving and somewhat saying 'What on are you talking about' . He opens his mouth to speak then closes it again. Resting his chin in his hand he's certainly thinking very hard on what to say next.

"Why's it only one? And did you have a Ghost-type do your top surgery? That sounds like a terrible idea." There's no way a ghost pokemon is on the list of approved specialists for a surgery like this.

And then that last sentence throws him for another loop. A decade ... What was he doing a decade ago? His journey? Oh god. He looks at Green up and down, before snapping his fingers when it clicked. That one gym leader! He was supposed to rematch him after beating Red but... Well, things hadn't worked out that way.

Ethan visibly grimaces and turns it into a smile "Ohhh, it's you! I thought you seemed familiar. Haha, almost forgot for a second! Wow. You're still the same after 10 years huh? That's crazy."

Oregano wiggles in her ball, sensing her trainer's discomfort and Ethan tucks his hand into his pocket to lull her back to sleep.

Green had his arms crossed, brow tilted accusatorily. Honestly, he came with no expectations but somehow whatever is happening right now seems to be worse than he thought would be! Although it's probably the first time someone asks about his scar(s) without seemingly bad intentions.

It dawns on him when Ethan mentions a ghost. His arms unfold so a hand can reach and cover his nasty ribs scar, eyes sharp throwing daggers at the younger.

"... I'll let slide the fact you couldn't recognize me, for now." he states, serious. "If you explain to me how and why you know of this scar."

And it tingles under his shirt, maybe a simple ghost pain or something stirring in cautiousness. It's not even purple anymore; simply a normal scar no one would guess coming from a Ghost Type.

It's weird, though. Ethan certainly has never seen it, otherwise he'd know Green has three scars on his ribs; two for his top surgery and the cursed Spectrier one.

Sometimes movies are right, but Ethan would fight you tooth and nail over whether or not Pokestar Studios did a good job depicting the real supernatural. Real mediums and what not. Sometimes they don't even consult with an actual medium and make things up. Or summon something inadvertently.

Ethan looks over his shoulder, a bit hurt, a bit offended. "Rotom's like a part of the family..." Family that locks you out when you don't respond to the Psychic Association texts, but still. He folds his arm trying not to smack the smug look on Green's face off.

"Ah, well. The usual that can be expected for a place like this. Exorcisms, consulting the dead, aura readings, finding dead trails or missing persons for unsolved cases, lots of stuff like that."

He isn't trying to stare at the strange mark on Green"s chest, that little scar of unfamiliar aura where something was dug out. A parasite perhaps? It doesn't match the rest of Greens aura, so it had to be from something else. But what? It's hard not to look at it.

The rest of Green is a mess of insecurities and guilt, barely held together by a shell of pride that refused to let these things slip out to the public. Ethan isn't surprised to be seeing this, but it just doesn't hold his attention like that scar.

"What... happened there?" Ethan asks as he takes a few steps closer and points at Green's chest, just a couple centimeters away from the old wound with only fabric to separate it.

The Professor had to cover his mouth with a hand, sliver of good sense to not laugh out loud while in front of Ethan. He seems to take it very serious at least, and he doesn't need to be throwing punches yet.

He really did list everything the Mystery Gang would do. Although he might, by the looks of it, often think the monsters are real rather than disguised people!

Well, at least he does believe this company can deal with ghost pokémon. And attempt finding lost people, anyone can do that. Maybe he'll entertain the thought of having Ethan take a look on his laboratory later...

His brows tilt when the younger points at his chest. He looks down at it, then up at Ethan.

"? My top surgery??? It's called mastectomy."

There's no way he's pointing at something no one else knows. Besides, it's pretty close to each other, both of these scars. He curls into himself a bit.

Polite? This guy? Ethan holds his tongue for once about how believable that is, he's argued with this guy enough for one day. Stepping to the side so that Green can walk in Ethan looks over him carefully taking mental note of his aura.

"Well, we're a small company right now. Maybe when we're bigger we can get an actual major building, but for now I think just an office space would be alright." The office is fairly bare, it's not empty, but it is sparsely decorated. A couple hand painted paper seals were scattered on the wall here and there, maybe a few streamers for the holidays too.

Oh now that makes him sheepish. A company with just two people isn't really a company, is it? "It's not just me! I have an intern who handles paperwork and a Rotom that takes care of the tech and security! I'm waiting for people to send in applications so I can hire some more people..."

He cocks a smile, specially directed at the funky seals all over the place. Exactly how he'd imagine this kind of company would look like in a movie or in an anime.

He's skeptical enough to believe these are all for decoration at best, for deceiving at worst.

"Rotom can barely be considered an employee though." Green leans against the nearby desk, arms crossed, sunglasses in hand pointing at Ethan. "Okay. Well, what kinds of services do you provide here?"

Honestly, he's thinking Ethan will list exactly what the Scooby-Doo Gang does. What's their name again? Mystery Gang? They're lacking some numbers in comparison here, though.

So hearing a knock on a public office door throws him off. He blinks, sitting up in his chair after doing... just about nothing since getting inside and gets up to open the door.

Yellow eyes stare at Green, then squint in confusion. This guy was familiar. More importantly,

"Why are you knocking on the door, you know you can just walk in right?"

Well maybe if he didn't have problems with ghosts he wouldn't be tempted to come. Besides... if this is really who he thinks it is, it might as well be fun to mess with him in person.

"I'm much more polite than that." the Professor replies with a stern eyebrow tilt. Only protagonists go around breaking into houses and speaking to everyone inside. "Besides, this place barely looks like a store. No one comes barging in somewhere they don't know."

He steps inside. As he takes off his sunglasses, eyes scan around for any weird hex-maniac stuff.

"Well? It's just you? You're much more of an freelancer than a company then."
