I’m not familiar with animal crossing so which faces could fit which characters

That’s the beauty of it -- any fc can fit any character! Since they’re animals, it’s completely up to you.

What is your opinion if someone brings in a face that they’ve never used before? Should they play someone their used to playing or branch out?

Always follow your muse. If your muse says use someone you’ve used 295739 times, use that fc! No shame in reusing the same fcs over and over, and we’re all guilty of it. But branching out can be great too, if that’s what your muse tells you. I’ve personally done both! There’s some fcs I’ve used a bunch of times, others I’ve never used before. Hande Erçel, the fc I use for Tia, is one I’ve never used before. My official opinion is that there’s no wrong option here!
