We are explorers on the wild rivers of prayer. (at Cypress Gardens, South Carolina)
How do you connect with or love on God? It doesn't have to look one way. Today I pray we would be released to LOVE creatively, as differently as you designed each of us. (Quote from Gerard Kelly) (at Myrtle Beach)
He's closer than a brother. He is more faithful than a best friend. He is stronger than any tower. He's more trustworthy than a parent. He is more caring than a spouse. He's our beginning and our end. And He promises to always be with us. Today I pray you would feel his friendship, his care and his presence. Even in the darkest valley, He does not leave, forget, or reject.

I talked to a good friend today who is ready to give up on God. "I'm not even sure anymore if He exists," she told me. When I was praying for her later, I felt God's love and compassion, his deep longing to be close to this friend of mine, no matter how she feels about him at the moment. We can't always understand why things happen, but we can be assured that He will NEVER give up on us. God got you started in this spiritual adventure; He will never give up on you. (1 Corinthians 1 MES) (at Duke Gardens)
It's funny; in this time of my life I have less money, fewer possessions, and very little clarity on my "life goals," but I have never been more thankful, whole, and content in God. I took this photo last night at a North Carolina beach. God was talking to me from 1 Corinthians 1. It says: "Just think—you don’t need a thing, you’ve got it all! All God’s gifts are right in front of you as you wait expectantly for our Master Jesus to arrive on the scene for the Finale." We have EVERYTHING we need in Him. So often we are robbed of our joy through comparison or simply not remembering all God has provided. Today I pray contentment for you; I pray you find rest in what He has done for us and all of the gifts he has lavished upon us. Amen. (at Fort Fisher Beach)
Slow down, take a minute, and enjoy God. He's a very present help in this very moment. (at City of Durham)
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.... For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28, 30 NIV) Been mediating on this one for a week! So thankful for God, who desires relationship instead of the rules and legalism of religion. The cry of my heart today is, "Jesus, teach us how to live, not by our own cultures and standards but in step your life-giving rhythms of grace and true rest. Let us truly KNOW You" Amen. (at Raleigh, NC)
What city are you praying for? Write its name in the comments below. (at Raleigh, NC)
“I’ll make up for the years of the locust, the great locust devastation... You’ll be full of praises to your God, The God who has set you back on your heels in wonder. (Joel 2:25-27 MSG) God, you have set us back on our heels in wonder. May we never grow numb to your marvelous works. Open our eyes today and let us wonder again. (at Suffolk, VA)
You who sit down in the High God’s presence, spend the night in Shaddai’s shadow, Say this: “ God, you’re my refuge. I trust in you and I’m safe!” (Psalm 91) I still trust you. Beautiful repost @therooptroop (at Downtown Durham)
"For everything we know about God’s Word is summed up in a single sentence: Love others as you love yourself. (Galatians 5 MSG) Lately, I've lost focus of God's main deal: love. This morning God cleared off the clutter of my interior-life-tabletop and asked me to return to this main thing. Loving doesn't always feel good. For me, it means biting my tongue when I feel wronged. It means doing the breakfast dishes even though it's inconvenient in the cold outside our camper. It means giving the benefit of the doubt to those around me. Ouch, ouch and ouch. I'm challenged today to live a better life. How about you? How's your love tank today... Full enough to spare a little? (at BattleCat Coffee Bar)
What are YOU thankful for today? Comment below. (at Asheville, NC)
Yes, let's. :) Lord, today fresh and new I surrender my life. I don't have everything figured out, but I trust that You do. My life is Yours! I love you!
We had an impromptu prayer time this morning on a leaf-strewn street in #Nashville. Our friend Rachel drove down from St Louis to hang with us and blessed our socks off with her prayers and sweetness. Who are the friends you like to pray with? Why not do it today? :) (at Nashville, TN)
You are qualified. Not because of what you do, but because of who He is. I pray today you would lift your eyes and see Him, the lifter of your head. You can do the impossible because of who God is to you. I pray for limitations and self-deprecation to fall of and for you to believe God's full design for you.
