In the official BDP site, Nasir is listed as one of the top analysts, full name and everything.
And I'm just like ????? During the entire chapter 4, Nasir was wearing his secret agent clothes and he never even gave US, the person he confided everything in, a name. We only just found out in chapter 5. And. he's over here giving his full legal name and appearance to BDP?? the bad guys???? What happened to going undercover, N? 🤨🤨🤨
But then I thought about some more....... and like. hear me out. what if Nasir Amin IS a fake name.
It WOULD explain quite a bit....... why he was so willing to suddenly give away his name to everyone in chapter 5 after avoiding telling us in chapter 4....... why his fuckahh "fake name" is literally just N..... why he LITERALLY gave his full name and address to the antagonists
AND AND AND. his initials are N.A. N/A. Not Available.............. hmmmmmmmmmmm
I am probably absolutely overthinking this and Tapblaze prolly put that in as a neat lil reference that Nasir went undercover in BDP but STILL it's fun hehe
That’s a really interesting theory! It could be, especially since the game sometimes plays around with names (Eleanor, Alicante being referred only by his last name, etc). And Nasir really could take advantage of his initials being N/A (brilliant observation btw). It’d make it easier for him to do detective-stuff.
Personally, my theory is a combination of @dtaegis’s post, and my own theory that it’s really hard to keep a secret in Pizza City:
Nasir felt that he had to hide his name from the Ovenist during Chapter 4. Partially because he was gauging if he could trust the Ovenist. Partially because he didn’t want news of him visiting the Ovenist coming out. The Ovenist’s restaurant is across the street, and he couldn’t afford to risk Angelica finding out. It’s easier if the Ovenist never knows his name, so they can’t accidentally* reveal that he went to their shop. I also think he was having a really hard time hiding from Angelica as it was.
*if the Ovenist mentions it to a friend, then they could tell someone else, etc. A big risk if someone says Nasir visited. But N could be a nickname for anyone. Nathan, Nora, etc.
