A fire broke out Saturday evening at Walt Disney Worldâs EPCOT, originating from a walk-in cooler in the France Pavilion. The fire was extinguished by 7:20 PM, with no injuries reported. However, Remyâs Ratatouille Adventure ride was evacuated and remained closed for the night.

Supreme Court says TikTok can be banned in the US, leaving its future in limbo
The Supreme Court ruled Friday that a controversial ban on TikTok may take effect this weekend, rejecting an appeal from the popular appâs owners that claimed the ban violated the First Amendment.
The court handed down an unsigned opinion and there were no noted dissents.
The decision, which followed warnings from the Biden administration that the app posed a âgraveâ national security threat because of its ties to China, will allow the ban to start Sunday. But there are a lot of lingering questions about how the ban would work in practice because thereâs no precedent for the US government blocking a major social media platform. And how exactly the government would enforce it remains unclear.

Trump's new acting EEOC chair aims to eliminate workplace discrimination driven by unlawful DEI initiatives.
President Donald Trump's appointee to serve as acting chair of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) pledged to prioritize addressing illegal workplace practices related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
"Aligned with the Presidentâs Executive Orders and priorities, my focus will include eliminating unlawful DEI-driven race and sex discrimination; safeguarding American workers from anti-American national origin discrimination; upholding the biological and binary definition of sex and associated rights, including womenâs access to single-sex spaces at work; protecting workers from religious discrimination and harassment, including antisemitism; and addressing other areas of recent enforcement gaps," Andrea Lucas stated in a press release shared with us on Tuesday.
Appointed to the EEOC as a commissioner in 2020 during President Trumpâs first administration, Andrea Lucas has continued to serve in that role since. The EEOC is the federal governmentâs sole agency authorized to investigate and take legal action against private companies and employers for employment discrimination.
"I am deeply honored to be selected by President Trump to lead the EEOC, our nationâs leading civil rights agency dedicated to enforcing federal employment anti-discrimination laws," Lucas said of her appointment. "I am committed to restoring fair and balanced enforcement of these laws for all Americans. In recent years, the agency has remained silent in the face of widespread and blatant discrimination."

Earthquake felt in Boston was centered in Maine
Earthquake Felt in Boston and Surrounding States Monday Morning
An earthquake centered in York Harbor, Maine, was felt across Boston, Massachusetts, as well as parts of New Hampshire and Rhode Island on Monday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The earthquake, recorded at a magnitude of 3.8, occurred at 10:22 a.m. Initial reports listed the magnitude as 4.1, later revised to 3.9.
âThis is like a once-in-every-five-years type of earthquake,â said John Ebel, senior scientist at the Weston Observatory at Boston College, in an interview with WBZ-TV.
The earthquake originated more than 8 miles underground, the USGS reported.
âWe donât sit on any active fault lines,â noted Terry Eliasen, WBZ-TVâs executive weather producer. âBut for our area, this is really significant.â
Minimal Impact in Massachusetts
Shaking was felt for a few seconds in several areas, including the WBZ-TV newsroom in Boston.
âMy house shook pretty good,â WBZ-TV anchor David Wade, who lives just west of Boston, said. âIt went on for what felt like a good 5 or 10 seconds.â
The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency received reports of shaking but confirmed no immediate damage.
âRemember, during an earthquake: drop, cover, and hold on for safety,â the agency advised.
This event follows a 4.8 magnitude earthquake in New Jersey last year that was also felt in parts of Massachusetts.

Plane Collides with Aircraft Tug at OâHare Airport, Leaving Driver Critically Injured
