New Urban Dynamics

In cities, groups of people are living together who have totally different lifestyles, cultures and interests; you can define the city as 'pluricultural'. With 'New Urban Dynamics', we will unravel the different patterns of these groups. Within ‘New Urban Dynamics’, the pluriformity of society is the focusing point. We will learn more about the perceptions and behavior of (groups of) people that manifest themselves as local citizens of the world in their own urban context. The focus is primarily on the transformation of existing patterns for new expressions and lifestyles and the tension that that entails.

Described as “urban, Afro and pop”, Selly Raby Kane's womenswear label was founded by the designer in 2008. A multidisciplinary visual artist, SRK combines a “mix of influences and trends for a unique and uninhibited style”, something that can be seen in her first fashion film “Inner Cruise”.
