New West Writers Meeting – 8th February 2020

Hello New West Writers and friends:

The sixth meeting of our 2019 – 2020 schedule will take place on 8th February, 2020 in the Plaskett Room of the New West Public Library (NWPL) at 716 6th Ave, New Westminster.

We will have use of the room for the 4 hours 12:30pm – 4:30pm.

Most of the four hours will be for critiquing and there might have to be a time limit for each critique based on numbers.

Our next meeting after that will be in September, as we don’t meet in July and August.

16 Themed Submission Calls for Writers in June The themes for these anthologies/websites/magazines include stories on LGBTQ lives, the invisible world, corporate shadows (inspired by the net neutrality rulings), anthropomorphic fiction, holiday crime and crime by bumbling sidekicks, work and play, deadly bargains, curiosity and the curious, addiction, and talking to strangers. Some of these also accept nonfiction and poetry. Many of them pay writers. Also see this list for some more deadlines coming up.
