Monday, September 14th was a day that none of the members of the St. Cassian chamber choir could forget. The Lives of six teenagers were taken from them in a fatal roller coaster accident. But only from the land of the living. Ocean, Noel, Mischa, Ricky, and Constance were now in the “afterlife” or “purgatory”.

Noel and Mischa looked at one another, they hadn’t expected dying at all! It was strange for them to be…well dead. As Noel knew that this was bound to happen, Mischa was enraged at this sort of injustice! Why wouldn’t he be?..Why wouldn’t any of them be? All 5 of them had a life, and as far as they knew..it could’ve been worth living. But no, their chance at life was taken from them in a roller coaster accident.

“I hate this, This sucks!” Said Mischa, complaining.

“Mischa..it was practically bound to happen from the start. Even Ocean didn’t feel safe when we rode the cyclone.” Noel Interrupted him.

Noel could see that Mischa had tears in his eyes, this was shocking for him because Mischa would always be known as “the angriest boy in town.” Whenever Mischa and Noel spoke to one another, Mischa was always tough, defensive and downright rude at times. But for once, Noel could finally see Mischa's vulnerable side. As Mischa wept angry tears, Noel sat down next to him.

“I could’ve seen my friends again..I could’ve gone back..” Mischa muttered.

“Go back where mischa?..”  Noel asked as he wrapped his arm around Mischa

“Back home..”

“Ukraine..” Noel said with sympathy in his voice.

Mischa leaned in to hug Noel, he buried his head in His shoulder, hugging him tightly. He was finally able to show himself as vulnerable but what truly mattered was that he felt safe for the first time since his death. He wiped his tears away, looking at Noel with an expression of gratitude.

“Thank you, Noel..for everything..I-I love you.” Mischa faintly smiled

Noel smiled, hugging Mischa tightly. "I love you too.."
