is a semi-plotless, city rp set in a vibrant and sprawling metropolis that never quite grew out of the Golden Days of Indie Sleaze. MGMT rules the world, every deadbeat on the street is working on the next big thing, and New Zeppelin is roaring with the rhythm of a city on the brink of blowing up.
The Zeppelinites' live every day to the fullest, but their tendency to throw their cares away in favor of a little glitter, and a few good feelings leaves them wanting more. Sure, living like each moment might be your last can be freeing - but what happens when you realize that you've got years left to go and nothing to show for it?
New Zeppelin is your city. You shape it: you mold the world with every step you take along your own story path. You make a choice, good or bad, you live with the consequences.

hi hi hi!!!! so in my dumb admin voice with my silly lil admin hat on, i'm obligated to say that cliche thing of like,,, an rp is only as active as you make it, yk? so, i know real life is wildin, and mardi gras is in gatorade rn mercury, retrograde, u get it but i'd urge you all, my lovelies, to TRY and set aside some time for some interaction even if it's legit like glee style dialogue threads, dumb facebook/tumblr comments&posts, texting, just plotting, etc!
i've always found it's helped my muse to like bond with my characters while i'm not writing them: i personally use playlists, pinterest boards, moodboards, character quizzes, etc, to spark that??? it sorta helps me discover the RIGHT vibe, and the RIGHT angles i want to take with a character - their secret little personality traits that keep me interested in them!!! and like i will talk ur EARS off about them, so talk to me about them incessantly PLEASE bc i'd love it.
i've never been afraid to just go 360 and retcon things if it feels true to the character, or to just drop a character, and i'd never fault ANYONE else for doing it!!!! it's ur world, these are UR barbies. like we all hopped in here bc something intrigued us about it. activity doesn't MATTER to me. i HATE booting ppl. i just want a place to write, and i wanna write with all of you no matter what those reply timelines look like!
so if something is missing for you in new zeppelin, lets find the missing piece so you can like WRITE the characters you all created in a way that excites you. New Zeppelin IS changeable and flexible, like just tell me what you need. you are allowed to change things and drop things with no questions asked and no hard feelings, OBVI. you are allowed to send what you might deem 'low quality replies' none of yours are 2 me, but i know how SOME PPL MIGHT THINK (me) so i'm being brave and squashing insecurities or whatevs if it scratches the itch, and ykw, you are valid for that!!! bc we're all SO TIRED!!! adulthood is hard, and in THIS ECONOMY??? we don't have the time to write like we used to! that's okay!!! so like do you, i just wanna see your beautiful lil brains create some cool stuff, and i just want to help you flex your creative skills. I want you to have an outlet where you can like have validation for your craft. a place where people can read your writing, and hear your ideas, and collaborate in your visions!!! the stories you create are wonderful! you deserve a fun, flexible place to share them.
anyway, to top things off: i am SO aware of how hard it is to like lock in when something is missing even if it FEELS like all the pieces are there. so like,,, if you need to switch your character around in traits, or vibe, or fc, ,,, always feel free to do WHATEVER you feel is right. i'm always going to do my best NOT to restrict you because you know i love you, and the things you create!!!
just try your best to throw something small into the mix. focus on a couple (two!!!) threads. dip your toes sorry for talking about feet into the port in any way you NEED to, and LET ME KNOW if there is anything i can do to help your MUSE. I am always willing to take connections, and make new characters to help further plots.
i know things get boring when it seems like no one is around, but if we're not all doing our lil part in being around - it just sort of creates a self fulfilling prophecy! if we're here writing and creating and changing the world to fit what we wanna do, it'll stay interesting and exciting! if we're not here, then it dies, yk? Zeppelin Airspace is always buzzing when they open their doors, but with the outdoor stage packed, and the spill of grassy lawn in the front fenced off? This could be their best Band Bash yet! Sure, some locals might grumble that Port Manteau is getting a little too big for its britches, but that's just background noise. When the drinks from Redlight start flowing and Betty & the Zeppelins start belting out their primal tunes, all that will be forgotten. For now, the fun is just beginning.

VIOLET'S DEAL: Vera never really got it, the artists and the art of New Zeppelin City โ there were dozens of other cities and towns in the AU alone that had the exact same scene, if not better. But word reaching? She did get an opportunity to capitalize if she saw one. You grow up scamming your neighbors for funzies? You spend your early adult years pimping out a placebo? You know an opening when it hits you, and there was no better opening than hearing that city had been overrun by artists. After all, whoโs more starving than a starving artist?

JOSIE AARONS:
During a night out on the town, Josie was in a small car accidentโฆ The driver was totally drinking (shame on the group of them) and in the wreck, Josie was semi-seriously hurt. She spent a secret night in the Emergency Room โ a total drain on her bank account! Asking her brother to dip into the tiny little trust that her parents left behind would totally sour the mood, and spoil her secret! Josie is going to have a lil bit of trouble paying her rent unless she busts her assโฆย Oh, and the other thing! It was Elena's car. We wonder if she wants to keep Josie's secret or not.
RAYMOND FEESAGO:
Raymond was walking down the street when he ran into a local promoter! With Betty and the Zeppelins in town, all of the up-and-coming (read: delusional) little promoters have been fighting to get the big 'ol band on their tiny bills. In a whirl, Raymond may have implied that he knows somebody who knows Betty and the Zeps themselves! In exchange for Synonym Sugarโs place on the setlist, heโs now on mad hunt to find someone that might know how to get him in touch with the bandโฆ Maybe hanging out at Redlight might help? We hear they hang there pretty often.ย It'll be, like, a giant break if he can pull it off!
TIFFANY TIPTON:
Tiffany Tipton doesnโt usually pay for her own dinners - and she's gotten her way out of a paying for quite a few party expenses too. Her friends are usually happy to help her out, but after footing one too many bills, theyโre beginning to insist that she start to pull her weight. Collectively, she owes her friends nearly $3,000, and some of them are starting to ask questions. It'll be easy with a few fast schemes - but will she be fast enough to keep the rumblings of suspicion off the tongues of the elite?
CYRUS PASCAL:
Since Cyrus has been in New Zeppelin, heโs been vying to get one of his plays featured at Serendi[pity] Playhouse. Heโs been offered a small position in the upcoming showcase โ itโs not his own show, by any means โ but heโll be joining a small group of writers who are writing one acts together. He doesnโt love the members of his team, but a shotโs a shotโฆ The only catch is that his application was mixed up with another local writer. But he can be โChris Passalโ for a few days, right?
REMI AVERY:
Remi has been building a customer base at Third Eye, and after months of (cheating people) hard work, sheโs finally found a little bit of a cash cow: an older woman whoโs hosting a seance at her swanky Diamond District homeโฆ and she wants Remi to host the occasion! Itโs easy to fake a tarot reading, but how is she planning on faking ghosts? Who knows! But sheโll be $1,000 richer by the end if she pulls it off.ย Maybe she can recruit a friend, or something.
ELENA RUIZ:
Elena Ruiz just recently leased her first car โ so cool! Unfortunately a recent accident ( a group of drunk college students running right into her parked vehicle, re: josie aarons wild night ) has left her brand new car in need of major repairs. Itโs not going to break the bank or anything, but itโs definitely going to be harder to get to work โ meaning sheโs totally been late to Sketti for her bartending shifts the last few days. Definitely not what she needs at the brand new job.ย The kids all ran, and the only one she recognized (or maybe didn't recognize! Plenty of people stumble upon each other in the borough!) was Josie Aarons. Elena needs a pay up... So, will she keep Josie's secret? Let's find out!

VIOLET'S DEAL: violet's just another trust fund baby living in port manteau, but she likes to think of herself as one of the normies (even though she has access to more money than most people have ever seen) since she's been there for the last six years. formerly a ballerina, she's now jobless, lacks any kind of ambition, and spends most of her days getting high and her nights going to parties. she's still in regular contact with her parents and drags herself back to the diamond district once a week to have her mandatory dinner with them they agreed upon six years ago in exchange for allowing her to move out and live her life how she pleased. she's perfectly content with how life is going - she can sleep in as late as she likes, spend her parents money on whatever she wants, and goes to cool events around town and hangs out with dope people - what more could she want?
REMI'S DEAL: Remi has loved life from the moment she was conscious of living it. The daughter of a single father (who also happened to be a white collar criminal) she was groomed from the beginning to be a grifter. Good grades in school were easy to get when she smiled and teacher's petted and charmed her way into them. College was a breeze when someone else was writing all of her notes for her and she was showing up just for test days. When her daddy decided to buy a few buildings and become the landlord of several Port Manteau businesses, it was absolutely nothing to trick her way into a job at one of them. Hell, she even managed to put on that 'true believer' act that the artsy little losers were into, lining her own pockets and making her life even more comfortable than it had been before. As long as no one catches on to the fact that she learned everything she knows about tarot reading from youtube, she should be totally fine, right?
OH, ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND IN NEW ZEPPELIN CITY -
The birds are singing, the sky is blue โ Port Manteau is practically humming along with excitement as the sun dips lower, promising another unforgettable ( depending on how much you drink! ) weekend in the borough. Some of you hustlers will undoubtedly be taking advantage of the crowds โ didnโt you know a Friday night is the perfect time to sell your soul for a tip? And I canโt doubt the others will be letting loose, embracing the revelry, at the glittery little ragers scattered across the borough.
