I honestly am stunned, like Nigel was so positioning himself in the face commentary position there and he is OBVIOUSLY getting himself ready to face Mox and he was DEFENDING Bryan once again and QUESTIONING the fans for cheering Mox
(Dear god what if Bryan comes back during this cup pls pls let me have something)
Look it’s not just bc I love Bryan: I truly honestly believe he had been needed on comm throughout this whole will/DR thing to tie it together more and make it more cohesive and clearly foreshadow what was to come (I mean I could tell but so many other ppl were so frustrated by everything that it was clear more was needed).
He’s so fucking good at that on comm, he’s one of the only ones (Nigel being really the only other one) who does the actual job of telling the story of the match, getting the throughlines and weaving everything together for the viewers. I think this whole entire storyline would have been so much more enriched, especially what went down at redemption bc Will is just terrible at emoting and needs all the help he can get.
And I HATE that we had no one at all pointing out the similarities of Yuta in the pac position doing the distracting this time. Or that Yuta did the nod this time. All they did was relate the bag to Bryan but completely glossed over the two huge ways that Yuta was now complicit in the action where he wasn’t originally at all in. Not to mention the mirroring of Mox giving the bag to Will the same way he gave the bag to Yuta at wrestledream except this time it’s torn up when Yuta didn’t go that route
The small but important detail of Yuta being the one to nod to Claudio to take out Will, when it was Mox who nodded to Claudio to take out Bryan, is so incredibly nuanced. It shows just how much things have changed in the passage of time, how indoctrinated Yuta has become to the brain-washing.
Sure why not hope y’all still love him when he does nothing to stop Kenny from being killed at the end of this show (pls god let me be right about this one)
