When is the deadline for applications?
We’ve had a lot of responses so far and are happy to see so many people are excited for this project! We advise DMing @flinxypie or @thatmooncake by Wednesday (12th August) about joining to avoid missing out!
I wanna join so bad but I'm so nervous- Im not the best artist and I don't write as well, but how could I join this if I ever do??
Hi there! So when joining the zine as an artist you get a page - what you do with it is up to you (as long as it fits the guidelines) but could be:
- A full page coloured shaded illustration of Nexus
- A mini comic
- A scrapbook style page full of doodles with writing around them showing what you like about Nexus in your own way (could be top Nexus quotes, a Nexus diary entry, your fave things about Nexus punctuated with little Nexuses (what is the plural of a Nexus anyway?), that sort of thing!)
As a writer it’s a 1500-2000 word self-contained story on Nexus (other characters can be included but should focus on Nexus).
We’re here to show and share our love for Nex more than anything - if that is of interest send an ask (we can only reply to you directly if it’s not on anon) or dm @flinxypie or @thatmooncake so we can give you a discord link 💖
Who wants to take part in a Nexus fanzine?
This zine will be a celebration of all things Nexus with art and writing and snippets dedicated to our favourite extra crispy superhell denizen.
The details:
* Artists will be allocated a full page - on this page you can do a full page coloured and shaded art piece for the zine, a short comic, or doodles around snippets of text you come up with about Nexus (think your favourite things about Nexus, favourite Nexus quotes or fun Nexus facts).
* Writers can add short self-contained stories about Nexus of around 1500-2000 words.
* There’s also potential for people to provide art to go alongside writing pieces.
* AUs are welcome so long as you are the owner of the AU or have permission from the owner.
If any of these are of interest to you, please let us know in replies or tags and we will get people added to the group discord where we can talk Nexus!
Spaces may end up being limited but we’re hoping to do additional and future projects so watch this space!
