Sketches I made from the Victoria Albert Museum. One of my favorite era was the 17th century... A mini lesson on costume design history, back in the days when they had the dressy sleeves that were huge. They created a sort of "shoulder pad" but to lift the large amount of fabric used for the sleeve shoulder. Called "sleeve support." They would create the voluminous shape with cotton and then filling it with feathers
