Thousands mourned and cried when they heard the news that Caitie, also known as #CourageousCaitie, had passed away after battling a rare form of leukemia. Even at just 3 years old, she was able to make an impact to thousands of people. She and her parents has taught all of us valuable lessons that we could treasure and hold on to forever.
She taught us to enjoy every single moment we have with our loved ones. You will never know when the last one will be. Treasure every memory and do not take it for granted.
She taught us to find joy in every situation, whether good or bad. Despite the sickness and the pain, with needles and tubes sticking in and out of her tiny body, she still had a smile on her face.
She taught us that it is possible to raise a child who is in love with Jesus, even at a very young age. And it is never too early to teach them about His love and faithfulness in our lives.
She taught us to restore our faith in people, that people genuinely care. Even those who do not know you.
She taught us to be bold with our faith, and not to be ashamed of the gospel. Because of their faith, a LOT of people have come to know Christ. And that is the greatest thing that you could pass on to others.
She taught us to be courageous. The dictionary defines courage as a “mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, or withstand danger, fear or difficulty."
She taught us to make our time here on earth meaningful. She has only lived 3 years, but she has already touched and changed thousands of lives.
She taught us to turn to Jesus and to praise His name, in good times or in bad. Because he will never leave us nor forsake us.
Thank you, Caitie, for being an instrument of God’s love and for inspiring all of us to become better people. Your time on earth was short, but it was very meaningful. You have taught me how to be a better daughter, a better wife, and you even taught me how to become a mother when my time comes. Have fun in heaven. :)
