While I hope my students have a wonderful holiday season, I do hope they come back ready to jump right back into things. I will not tolerate laziness.
You might have to spend a whole week whipping us back into shape. As much as I enjoy your classes, Mr. Milo, I might be pretty dead on my feet for awhile. Holiday meals are hell on my body. Pretty sure my Mom laces her food with sleeping pills so thereâs less commotion âround the house.

Miles: Is this the best idea?
Miles: No, I'm not busy.
Nick: Probably not.
Nick: Can I come over? Or something. Idk. Would that be too weird
Text to Nick
Miles: it was just my nose. It's not broken.
Miles: I'm fine.
Nick: I don't believe you.
Nick: I think I need to see you or something. Idk. Fuck everything else.
Nick: Are you busy?
Text to Nick
Miles: I don't want space. That's the whole problem.
Miles: It's fine. This asshole just had a lot to say about shit he knows nothing about and...you know me. I get pretty mad pretty fast.
Miles: He hit back, but it's fine, I'm fine.
Nick: What the fuck?
Nick: It's not fine. You got fucking hit
Nick: Are you hurt??
Text || Noel & Nick
Noel: No she's not here so you can come here.
Nick: I'll be there soon.
Nick: I love you, okay?
Text to Nick
Miles: I just.
Miles: It was so weird but. Not in the worst way. And that's the most confusing part.
Miles: I don't know. I'm confused.
Miles: I didn't know what to say to you but I kinda messed up the other day and it made everything a thousand times worse and I had to bring this up. Because it was very real.
Nick: What are you confused about? Idk how to help, or if I can. I can give you space again? I don't know.
Nick: What happened? Is everything okay?
Text || Noel & Nick
Noel: I really hope so.
Noel: As soon as possible. Preferably somewhere private like one of our rooms or something.
Nick: I can come over soon, if you want. Is your roommate home?
Text to Nick
Miles: I'm not asking you to fix it. I'm asking why you've just been ignoring me.
Miles: Do you really just want to forget about it and pretend it never happened?
Miles: I don't know if I can but if it's what you really want then I'll fucking try.
Nick: Because I'm fucking scared, Miles.
Nick: You're one of my best friends, you know? And now you're saying you can't forget it happened and it's fucking me up because I just kind of want things to go back to normal.
Nick: I want things to not be weird.
Text || Noel & Nick
Noel: I want to say no but then I'd be lying.
Noel: You have to promise that no matter what you won't hate me.
Nick: You're my sister. Even if I wanted to I can't hate you, it's wired in my DNA or something.
Nick: When do you want to meet up?
Text to Nick
Miles: I don't know if I CAN just leave it at "weird shit".
Miles: I think the whole weird ship already fucking sailed.
Miles: All this shit really fucking confused me, man.
Nick: I don't know how to fix this then, man.
Nick: You think I'm not confused too?
Nick: This whole situation is fucked up. And I'm so fucking sorry for it. But I can't exactly go back in time.
Text || Noel & Nick
Noel: I need to talk to you, in person. Itâs really important. I want you to find out from me and not from somewhere else.
Nick: Is it something bad?
Text to Nick
Miles: So, are we just going to keep pretending nothing happened?
Miles: Because this whole completely ignoring me thing isn't really working out for me.
Nick: I'm not really sure what you want me to say here, Miles.
Nick: I'm sorry that... weird shit happened. We'd been drinking. We can just leave it at that. And I'm sorry if you think I've been ignoring you. Been busy and didn't want to make things weirder than they've already been.
âOops. That was kind of embarrassingâŠ..for you.â
"Yeah, well, at least you seemed to enjoy it. Some good has to come out of me almost eating the cement. Stick around, maybe next time Iâll actually end up breaking a bone for you.â

â My muse finding your muse wearing their clothes
He did a double take when he saw him, pausing mid-walk to the refrigerator to look at him. Nick cocked his head to one side and regarded him with some confusion, until recognition kicked in and he couldnât stop the slow smile from creeping across his features. âDude â is that my t-shirt?â He was pretty sure no one else but him owned a ratty old Thundercats t-shirt. Aside from the person at the second hand store he found it in who owned it before he did. And before he could stop it, a short genuine laugh escaped him, a little too fond although he couldnât quite stop himself from letting it come through this time. There was a warmth in his chest he hadnât really experienced in a long time; not really sure if it was because he was wearing his clothes and Nick was just being weird or if because he chose that shirt in particular. One of his favorites that everyone else seemed to hate, unless Miles just put it on to mock him, which was entirely possible. Still, he shook his head at him, amused, before finishing the walk to the fridge. Not looking back as he called over his shoulder, the smile still apparent in his voice. âLooks good on you.âÂ
â„ Your muse crying about something to my muse
His hands were shaking and he couldnât get them to stop no matter how hard he clenched his fists or how long he closed his eyes so that everything would seem less vibrant. He could hear every little sound and see every single light and it hurt. And Nick wasnât aware of much, but he knew that it was all wrong. Blindly, he rocked himself forward, head burrowing into the body next to him, one that he recognized and sought out for some semblance of comfort in that moment. ââm scared, man.â His tongue felt heavy and his words were slow in his mouth, but he brought his hands up to curl into the fabric of his clothing. A dry sob pierced through the air, but Nick didnât recognize it as his own voice. âItâs wrong. Wrong --- not sâposed to feel like this.â
âNo, itâs not usually my area of expertise but we can see what we can do.â Cam agreed, looking down at the watch but really not knowing what he was doing. âUm, have you tried changing the battery?â He suggested, knowing that Nick probably already had thought of that but not knowing what else to suggest.
"Yeah.â Six months ago, but he wasnât about to say that out loud and look like an idiot. The watch usually lasted for longer than that, and it gave out warning signs before faltering completely. Thatâs what happened when you had something for long enough, you picked up on the little quirks and malfunctions and knew when something was wrong. Even if it was just a piece of shit watch that he didnât even look at half the time. Holding out his hand for it, he managed another smile, shrugging lightly as he did so. âDonât worry about it. Iâll mess around with it later or something. I collect these things, should know enough by now to at least get half of it working again, maybe.âÂ
It had been a while since Noah openly talked to anyone, mostly because he really didnât want to anymore. He didnât see any point. The worst was that he had to be sitting right across from Nick in the study hall, seeing the blonde from behind his computer. He had his headphones in, trying to seem like he didnât want to be bothered but it failed to do so. His eyes glanced over the screen to see the watch being handed to him, glancing between the object and the boyâs eyes. âWhatâs wrong with it?â he asked bluntly, taking it so he could inspect the device.
He was weary at first, not sure if he should approach him if only because he hadnât seen him in so long. Nick wasnât entirely sure what was going on with the other guy; too scared to pry into his business because he knew firsthand how infuriating it was to not have your privacy. But when the watch broke and he saw Noah there, his first instinct was to turn to him. Because he was a familiar face, maybe. Someone who wouldnât judge him for freaking out over a broken watch that probably should have broken down years ago. Nick trusted him. âI donât know.â He replied honestly. âIt just...blanked out on me, I guess. I replaced the battery not too long ago, so Iâm not sure what it is.â He paused for a second, fingers curling into his palms nervously as he shrugged, trying not to seem as affected as he really was over a piece of junk. âThink maybe it just died?â
