Took some photos of the Gates Dell Complex while I was testing out my new Rokinon 24mm. I like the bridge study areas,so these have ended up being references for my interior.

Wrapped up textures for turn in this morning. I've changed lots of things since the modeling phase:

Switched to Mental Ray and MILA materials. This allowed me fine control over glossiness and transmission. Lots of care went into the LED plastic material. I was also able to use MILA bump flakes to simulate the reflections that catch on the styrofoam

Dropped Maya post-processing glows in favor of spotlights mounted in the eye LEDs

Cleaned up the resistor and MOSFET meshes

Wrapping up the model. I now have a much better grasp of grouping, aligning and distributing.

Decided to do some basic color textures to make it easier to fix up the torso. I ended up exploring glow shaders as well.
