Nick Menza talks about 'Trains of Consequences'
Translation:
Question: Is Youthanasia ready to be released?
Nick: The album has been completed some weeks ago. In the end, we added some rhythmic details, drum parts and stuff like that. I know people love noticing these small random details even when they're already listened to the album fifty times. I appreciate these types of effects that you don't notice except if someone points them out for you.
Question: Is it difficult for you to wait until the album drops?
Nick: I stopped listening to the album completely. I was cleaning my house the other day and i put it as background music. I can't talk about it anymore, I wouldn't be objective. I made some of my friends listen to it and they said "it's amazing! you can put it on again...". I've only heard positive comments about this album — maybe the whole world is lying to me!
Question: Do you like being flattered?
Nick: Yeah, it makes me feel proud. The whole Megadeth situation has evolved a lot, it's not just Dave's band anymore, it's also Marty's, and mine...
Question: Why did you choose 'Train of Consequences' for the first video-clip? It didn't seem like the most prominent track.
Nick: It's one of my favorite tracks. It's sharp and effective, I suggested it to Dave and he agreed. I'm quite proud of my drumming on 'Train Of Consequences'. It's undoubtedly the best representation of 1995 Megadeth.
