This place is the kingdom of scribbles and silliness. You can find here many little comics about various fandom (TLoZ, HK, SW, TCW, Bleach...) that I hope will make you smile at least once (and some real drawings from time to time).
If you wish to follow me (that will please me much), you must understand that I’m a girl of maaany fandoms and that I can switch to any of them in a minute. 😀
I love to create worlds and characters, so I’ve got tons of them (just follow the “ocs” tags if you want to know more about my babies). And I’m not just a drawer, I’m also a writer. I wrote many texts in several fandoms again (HP, Bleach, Naruto, SW...) and if you’re a french speaker, just ask for the links. 😉
Last but no least, I appreciate the fact that you wish me to participate to one of your projects but, don’t be offended if I refuse because I’ve got tons of projects of my own that wait for me to work on (for years for some of them). I barely can’t add more and keep the same quality of work. 😅
And last point: I’m not good enough to take commissions but feel free to suggest me things to draw if you wish too. BUT keep in mind that I’ve got the right to refuse you suggestion if I’m not comfortable enough with it. And don’t forget that I’m reaaaaally slow. XD
And the last drawing I've made for Pride Month, this time in an AU in which Yachiru is a real person and she becomes a grown-up.
I imagine she could go in World of the Living with her "uncles". They arrive right during a parade and discover a whole new world of vocabulary and stuff they were not aware of.
Anyway, Yachiru is really proud of her "uncles", no matter who they are. And they don't care. Most of the time, at Seireitei, they stay quite silent about their feelings for each other. But in World of Living, they don't give a d*mn. Especially when they're off duty.
I watched Stargate SG-1 S06E09 "Allegiance" this morning and realized that Jacob wasn't there during S04E05 "Divide and conquer". So he wasn't there when Jack and Sam confessed their feelings for each other.
I immediately imagined him asking them some questions. Here are the dialogues my brain cooked.
(It was supposed to be funny at first, but the end could be a little bit angsty.)
___
TW: angst, implied reference of Jack's past intimate life, over-protective father, age gap mention, classical Jack self deprecation (and more), mention of character's death
___
Jacob: "Sam, Jack, can I speak with you for a moment?
Sam: Yes.
Jacob: Earlier, you said that the Zatark detector could be wrong and you, Jack, confirmed it. Can you explain to me what happened?
Jack: Anise didn't tell you?
Jacob: She mentioned Lantash death above all. It's possible that she talked about that with the other scientists of the Tok'ra, but I wasn't part of it.
Jack: So it doesn't matter that much.
Jacob: Malek didn't seem to know either and yet, he's part of the scientistic team.
Sam: Dad, it wasn't that much.
Jacob: If the detector is not trustworthy, it's important. We can condemn innocent people, like we almost did with Artok. I need to know the truth, so we can fix it properly."
Sam and Jack look at each other.
Jacob: "Did you lie?
Jack: No, we didn't lie.
Jacob: So how can you explain that the detector didn't work with you two?
Jack: We concealed something.
Jacob: To knowingly conceal something is tantamount to lying.
Sam: We didn't do it knowingly.
Jacob: What did you conceal?
Jack: Nothing.
Jacob: So the detector should have declared you innocent.
Jack: Nothing important.
Jacob: Sam?
Sam: Let's say that we concealed the real motivations under some of our reactions during a previous mission.
Jacob: The real motivations?
Sam: We didn't do it on purpose. It's something we are ignoring so unconsciously by now that none of us thought that it could be seen as a lie.
Jacob: ... What did you hide?
Jack: Fine. I'm done with that. I'm leaving. I don't want to see that."
Jack leaves the tent.
"Sam?
Dad, I'm sorry, I... I can't say more.
What did you hide both of you that guided your actions?
...
What did you hide unconsciously? ... Both of you..."
Jacob looks toward the tent exit, then to Sam again.
"Seriously?
Dad...
He could be your father!
Stop it. We are sixteen years apart.
Like I said.
Sam's eyes rise to the sky.
Hammond knows?
Of course not. Nothing happens between me and him. Our relationship is strictly professional.
Are you trying to tell me that after all those years working together, you never see each other out of the SGC?
Never just the two of us.
Sam finds Jack back sitting on a trunk outside.
So, when am I going to get my face smashed in?
I didn't tell him anything.
Jack is happily surprised.
He guessed everything all by himself.
... Same question then.
I told him that our relationship was purely professional.
I'm not even your friend?
Sir...
Did he believe you?
I think so.
You think so?
... You better watch your back, if I was you.
As planned.
Later, Jack is surveying the camp perimeter when Jacob shows up behind him.
Jack.
Jack shudders.
Don't do that!
Do what? Talk to you?
No. Arrive behind me.
Would you have preferred that I go around the forest to come straight at you, even though I'm coming from inside the camp?
... Never mind. What... what can I do for you?
Can I speak with you for a moment? Alone.
... My instinct yells "no", but a second voice tells me that I have no choice.
You better listen at the second voice.
Jack sighs and shows him a more remote area.
Listen, I don't know what the Major told you but, there is absolutely nothing between us.
She told me that your relationship is strictly professional.
... And you don't believe her?
It's not the point. I'm more worried about the consequences of these feelings on my daughter. Your relationship leads to nothing as long as she stays under your command and I'm afraid that it would be too late for her when an opportunity would show up.
... Sir, listen, I'm well aware that your daughter deserves better than me...
Of course.
[Takes in but adds nothing]... and that's why I don't prevent her to see anyone she wants. Your daughter can do whatever she wishes to during her free time. I never interfere in her private life.
And what if she meets someone who wish to spend his whole life with her?
If he makes her happy, I won't go against their union.
I thought you love her.
Yes. ... Yes, it's true. Only, sometimes loving someone means accepting that you have to gave them up. For them to be happy.
...
Reassured?
I guess, yes.
Can I sleep now?
[Sighs] Yes.
Thank you.
Jack starts to walk away.
One more question.
[Close his eyes and turns around] What?
What about you?
... Me?
What have you planned for you?
... I already had my chance and I screwed up big time. I don't think it's a good idea to try again. And I've got too many stuff to deal with right now. Thank you.
I see.
Can I go now? Because I've got a full battalion of Jaffa and earthlings to manage.
Next drawing for Pride Month, still with the 11th squad, this time with Kenpachi and Yachiru. :)
Kenpachi never shows any sign of interest for sex. He lives for the fight, takes care (in his ow way) of Yachiru and that's all. He also never does any gesture or says anything sexual to women (Orihime, Nanao...). Unohana is may be the only with whom he has a (kind of) sexual interaction. Through fighting. So, he could legitimately considered as asexual.
Yachiru is way too young to have a clear sexual attraction defined. So, she just an allie. She loves her Ken-chan and her gay uncles no matter what.
I'm currently re-watching Stargate SG-1 TV-show (back then I watched it until the beginning of S08, but now plan to watch it to the end (yes, even without Jack)).
Well, as always I love a universe, my brain runs free and I've got plenty of ideas for eventual fanfics. There's very low chance I write them some day because of all the other ideas I already have in mind, but it's funny to think about it and I wanted to share them.
Remember that I don't know anything about the last three seasons and that I'm currently in S05. So, some of those ideas may already exist.

Yes, I'm a SamxJack shipper and I was so happy to read over there that they ended up together off screen. They are terribly so cute together.
What could I say about those ideas is:
Ideas 1 and 3 are nonsense
Ideas 5 and 8 are not what you think
I love ideas 6 and 9 (plenty of lovely Jack-supporting-Sam moments)
Idea 11 goes further that it originally should (still boiling when it was supposed to be a PwP)
Okay, summer hit pretty early that year and it was waaaaaay too hot to draw lately. But, luckily, I made the next drawings for Pride Month before.
Well, here are my boys. The most logical for this peculiar month. :)
Many people see Yumichika as bi and I must confess that, for a moment, I thought the same because of the way he reacts in front of Orihime. But now, I can only see him as gay.
For Ikkaku's bisexuality, it's quite a recent point of view. For many years, I saw him as heterosexual (or even ace) and his relationship with Yumichika was a one-way thingy. But now, him being bisexual is way more fun. :D
It's Mother's Day here in France and, for this occasion, here is Edna and her "daughters".
If you follow me for some times now, you've already seen those girls before. The three of them come for OoT world. Edna is Ganondorf's cousin. Taoria (the young one) and Selonna (the teenager) are Ganondorf's daughters, but for some reasons I won't explain here, they were raised by Edna and not their true mother or their father.
I know they're plenty of mistakes, but I wanted to make a little something for Mother's Day and as I was thinking again about my TloZ fanfic, that was the opportunity to draw them again. Not being the biological mother of some kids doesn't mean you're not a mother. Edna is Selonna and Taoria's mother.
Well, Happy Mother's Day to every kind of mother. /o/
Enough with the cuteness with those two, time for disagreements. >_<
Because they know each other for decades (century maybe) and they've got very different temper. So yes, from time to time, they argue, yelling like crazy.
Most of the time, it doesn't last (even if Yumichika is pretty stubborn), because they work together (1st) and they do care for each other a lot (2nd). But it happened, when Yachiru was younger, that they stopped talking to each other for two months. That was their longest quarrell.
On the last drawing, Ikkaku prevents Yumichika to fight with someone else. Because sometimes, it's not Ikkaku who go crazy. :D
It's always tricky to draw people sleeping from above because the perspective is weird. But I wanted to draw them like that.
Because the boys don't have much opportunity to sleep side by side. In the 11th barrack, they have to sleep in their own bedrooms, because they have no right to be together (both military, different grades). So they have to split up right after their sexual stuff.
So, each time they spend a few days into the real world, they take that chance to enjoy the night together from A to Z. Like they did in Rukongai, when the weather was cold or when the place was safe enough.
I've got that idea in mind that when Yumichika discovers that Ikkaku has the right to his own place (as lieutenant and/or as vice-captain), Ikkaku immediately starts to build his house. And of course, he does a bedroom with a king size bed, so he can sleep side by side with Yumichika like he always wishes to. :)
Here is another story I’ve got in mind and that I will never write (because I’ve already got too much WIP in mind and I currently need a break).
This time it’s inspired by a video I watched about the old Japanese traditions about sex workers (expensive ones). Because, for them, there was a whole protocol to follow to have access to the precious. Men had to respect plenty of rules, and it took weeks and asked a lot of money to “win the lottery”.
And when I was watching this video, I imagined what could possibly happen in an alternate universe with Ikkaku and Yumichika. The first one being a lord of war, when the second would be a male prostitute.
Let me add some details… :D
TW: sex working, human traffic, misunderstanding, lies, angst, pregnancy, gay sex, homophobia, historical sexism (we are in medieval Japan era), threesome, attempt of murder, death (not in that order)
So, here is the beginning.
Ikkaku is a son of a local lord and a high ranked officer in the local army. He wishes to spend some good time in the red zone. He picks up an expensive place because he’s wealthy. When he enters the place and the owner asks him who he wants, he sees a beautiful woman with long and straight dark hair. The owner tries to say something, but he doesn’t want to listen and gives him the money.
Of course, you have already guessed the twist.
The owner reaches for Yumichika and asks him to play his role, no matter what. That’s the way Ikkaku faces up that gorgeous woman he had spotted minutes before, and he starts to respect the protocol. It means doing poetry, giving presents, playing games and even tattooing himself with her name (“Yumi”). And when it’s time for the great finale, weeks after, Yumichika asks him to close his eyes and to never open them, by any means.
And Ikkaku obeys. All along. He feels that it’s different from what he knows but doesn’t say anything. Especially that he enjoys the moment. A lot. Way more than what he lived before. The moment was so intense that he can’t stop thinking about it the next days and weeks, and he wishes to live it again.
So, he comes back to the place and asks again for the same girl. But the owner tells him that she is already taken for the night. He offers him another woman, but Ikkaku refuses. He wants Yumi. And Ikkaku doesn’t like when people say “no” to him. So, he “leaves” the place and actually turns around it to find his girl. And he finds… her.
He finds Yumi with another guy, in the middle of the act. That’s how Ikkaku discovers that Yumi doesn’t have boobs and surely no pussy. That’s how he discovers that Yumi wasn’t a woman at all. Furious, he turns back to the owner and asks for a refund, yelling in front of all the customers. Terrified, the owner agrees to give his money back and Ikkaku leaves the place.
BUT there’s an issue. Indeed, next days and weeks, Ikkaku never stop thinking about Yumi. He enjoyed every moment with him. Because they talked a lot, about many things. Yumi was smart, clear-sighted, and fun. And the sex was good. Really good. So Ikkaku turns back to the place, to apologize first, and to ask for another appointment then. But when the owner shows him the girl named Yumi, it was a complete different person. Ikkaku asks again, for the real Yumi, the owner answers him that “she is the real Yumi”.
Ikkaku immediately understands that the male prostitute was kicked out of the place, because of him. Defeated, he turns back home, sad and remorseful. Later, when his men talk about a place with many cheap sex workers available, he takes the shot to see if Yumi isn’t amongst them. And he gets lucky because he is. With a customer when he arrives. Ikkaku scares the said customer and asks him to hit the road. They guy obeys right away, taking back his money.
Yumichika tries to run away too but Ikkaku catches him first. Ikkaku apologizes for his behavior and releases him when he’s getting calmer. Yumichika stands next to him, on edge, clearly ready to fly away. Ikkaku asks him what he was doing there and Yumichika hisses back that a prostitute is of no use if they cost money to their owner and if they bring dishonor on the place they work for. And he tries to walk away again. Ikkaku prevents him to do so, but Yumichika punches him in the face, almost knocking him out, and disappears.
But Ikkaku is determined to find him and to have a real discussion with him. Still obsessed by this guy, he asks for his soldiers to bring him to his place. And they do it. That’s the way Yumichika enters Ikkaku’s house. Distrustful, Yumichika is tensed but looks at him defiantly. He fears for his life and yet, he’s ready to fight back if necessary. Ikkaku loves that. Actually, he loves that guy and he wants to marry him. He doesn’t care about the rules, about what his rank, his family and society expect from him. He loves that man and wants him as his husband.
Yumichika is surprised at first, then asks him if he has to answer right away. Ikkaku says “no” and adds that he can stay here as long as necessary to think about his proposal. And that’s how Yumichika starts to live with him. He sleeps in another bedroom, and the two guys don’t touch each other during the whole time, but they spend a very long time together. Yumichika reads many of the books Ikkaku has and also learns how to fight (bare hands and with sword, knives, spear, bow, etc.). And he’s so good that Ikkaku asks him to be his bodyguard. Yumichika agrees.
Months later, someone from a rival family sends an assassin to kill Ikkaku in his sleep. When the killer shows up in the middle of the night, Ikkaku is not asleep but he’s not able to fight back. He was even about to be stabbed when Yumichika appears and defeats the killer. A thing leading to another, Yumichika and Ikkaku kiss each other for the first time. Yumichika then agrees to Ikkaku’s proposal. Minutes later, Ikkaku makes love again to his fiancé and they both enjoy the moment a lot.
Still in the same room, Ikkaku asks more information about his lover’s past. Yumichika was sold by his parents when he was five to a lord in a country next door to become a servant. He grew up and became a teenager. The lord had a son, same age as Yumichika. A gay son who fell for the servant. The two young men had a secret relationship for almost a year before the lord discovered them together in bed. Furious, the lord sold Yumichika to a slave seller, asking him to bring the servant as far away as possible. The seller sold him to the brothel owner later. Yumichika never knows what happened to the prince.
But he doesn’t really care much now that he has found Ikkaku. He loves him too. He doesn’t agree to become his husband just because he doesn’t want to go back in the street. He loves the lord as much as he loves him. And Ikkaku asks him to take him. He wants to know what it feels like to be loved. So Yumichika makes love to him and gives him a lot of pleasure. He also enjoys the moment.
A few times after, Ikkaku and Yumichika are married by a priest who doesn’t care and who will keep his mouth shut. Their witnesses are Ikkaku’s most faithful servants who won’t say anything either. They both say “yes”, they kiss each other and have a ton of fun during their wedding night. From that moment, they sleep in the same bed and live freely as husband and husband in their house. When they have guests, Yumichika shows up as Ikkaku’s wife, Yumi, and when Ikkaku has to join the army (under Kenpachi’s command), he comes with his bodyguard, Yumichika (and yes, they have sex under the tent).
Everything goes right until one day, Shino, Ikkaku’s younger sister, shows up in the house. Ikkaku introduces her to his wife, but she’s not fooled. She knows that Yumi is not a woman, and she doesn’t care actually. She came because their parents learnt that he was now married and are quite angry (she is too, because she wanted to be their witness). And they also want to come there to meet his wife and to ask her if she is already pregnant. Or, at least, if they do what’s necessary for her to be.
Of course, their parents don’t know about Ikkaku’s interest for men (or, more precisely, for one man in particular) and, most of all, don’t want to hear about it. Her only son has to be with a woman and to have children with her. And if he can’t have child with her, they’ll find him another wife. The guys start to freak out, but Yumichika comes with a plan. They’ll agree to have his parents for dinner, and he’ll show up as Yumi. They’ll say that they know each other intimately only for a few weeks and those things take time. And if his parents wish to test his ability to have child, he’ll do his best and if the girl gets pregnant, they’ll keep the baby as their own.
And that’s what happened. His parents only wait for one month more to see if something is coming and as it (logically) doesn’t, they bring a poor peasant randomly taken from their country and ask Ikkaku to do what he has to. Ikkaku thinks about Yumichika the whole time and it works. The woman gets pregnant. Ikkaku’s parents are pleased and ready to push Yumi away, but Ikkaku negotiates to give them a month. At the same time, Yumichika negotiates with the woman to keep the baby (she’ll stay at home with them till birth) and gives her some money. Ikkaku’s parents agree and give money to the woman (thinking that she’ll go back all by herself to wherever she wants). The woman agrees too and takes all the money.
One month later, Ikkaku tells his parents that Yumi is pregnant and eight months later, the woman gives birth to a little girl. The woman leaves the house when the baby doesn’t need to be breastfeed anymore and both fathers are so happy with their daughter. Her name is Yachiru and she’s a smart and mischievous ball of energy. She learns pretty fast to know when she can ask for Yumichi-dad or Mama Yumi, and accepts it right away.
Some years later, their desire for another kid grows into their heart. This time, Yumichika will be the father. He was a male prostitute not only for male customers, so he knows how does it work. But after so many years of sex with his husband, turning back to a woman is complicated. He tries several times but can’t finish (even when he thinks about his lover).
Ikkaku decides to intervene, at first by being there during the act. Then by kissing him to give him more motivation. In the end, Ikkaku takes Yumichika who take the woman who agreed to carry their child at the same time. It asks several tries again, but at last, it works. The issue is that the woman didn’t appreciate the process. Actually, she thinks that their way of living is abnormal (she wasn’t aware of the fact that they were both male when she said yes). So she tries to run away with the baby and always fails.
She finally gives birth to a boy (a copy-paste of the father) and flies away as quickly as possible then (with the money, of course). Fathers don’t care because they’ve got their son and they are so happy. And Yachiru is also so thrilled to be a big sister now. And that’s how Hatori completes the family. And they live happily ever after. ^_^
Fun fact: the headphone is not his, but Yachiru's.
__
Once I discovered that Ikkaku has a sister, I imagined that the first encounter between Shino and Yumichika was pretty tensed. Like she knows the 5th officer is quite harsh and could be mean with anyone else outside the 11th Squad. On the other side, he has some difficulties to accept her existence (and to share Ikkaku with her).
Yu: What are you doing there? You should be training the new recruits.
Ik: Yes, but the vice-captain is organizing a meeting in the dojo with members of other divisions.
Yu: Quoi?! KUSAJISHI-SA...
Ya: Get out.
Ik: She kicked you out too.
Yu: Yes, but I had the time to see that it's a Female Shinigami Association's meeting. And, wait for it, our vice-captain is their president.
Ik: It's a kid!
Yu: I didn't say it was logical.
___
Knowing that Yachiru is the president (chairwoman?) of the FSA, I imagined the first meetings took place in the 11th Squad barrack. Now think about all those women showing up in the middle of this bunch of thick-headed brutes. Such a mess! XD
Okay. Amongst human interactions, kiss is the worst to draw. I used references again to draw those and yet, it's still messy. ^^;
Now, time for sexy hc! :D
SFW hc :
As I said before, they don't use any petnames for each other. They call their partner by their real name most of the time. The closest they have for petnames is "handsome" for Yumichika and "my warrior" for Ikkaku. Because they have to hide their relationship most of the time, first. And then, because they are not into that kind of attention.
They don't add tongue to their kisses. Never. They don't like that both of them.
Ikkaku is the cuddler. Yumichika is not the tactile type, but he appreciates to be into Ikkaku's arms (he won't initiate the cuddle though). And Ikkaku loves to wake up in the morning with Yumichika by his side and, most of all, into his arms.
They chose summer festival as their anniversary, even if they don't really know when did they met for real (when matsuri takes place in Soul Society, it doesn't spread to the lowest districts of Rukongai, so it's hard for people living there to have a real notion of time).
They are both jealous. In their own way. Yumichika pays more attention to girls turning around Ikkaku, when Ikkaku pays more attention to boys turning around Yumichika.
Yumichika doesnt' want to get married (he thinks that it doesn't mean anything and that they're many other ways to show love to their partner). Ikkaku doesn't particularly want everybody to know about them, but the idea to propose and to see his boyfriend in a wedding outfit crossed his mind.
NSFW/18+ hc
Ikkaku is bigger and Yumichika is longer
They weren't the first for their partner, but they were the first guy for him (you've got 3h! :D)
Ikkaku is loud (even more when Yumichika is top), so it's not that easy for them to have sex in the barrack.
They did it almost everywhere, except in common spaces (dojo, living room, etc.) in the barrack, because Yachiru is wandering around and they feel it's gross.
They regularly have sex when they're going in the Living World for mission and they're taking advantage to be invisible from most humans to have sex in public (rooftop, but also street, parks, etc.).
They use condoms only when they're in gigai because they don't want the 12th to know for them (spoiler: they already know).
When in Rukongai, they did it once in a while, always from behind, no foreplay, and Ikkaku was top only.
When in Shinô Academy, first year: they did it more often, still from behind only, Ikkaku as top only, but he starts to touch Yumichika more during the act. No other kind of intimate interaction.
When in Shinô Academy, last years: they did it several times a week, various positions, added kisses and foreplays in their interactions. Ikkaku still top only.
11th division, before TYBW: the same, try even more things and they add oral sex to the list (both).
11th division, post-TYBW: the same + Yumichika is now top too (Ikkaku wishes to try for many years actually, but he was so afraid to not feel anything or to not feel anything good that he kept this desire for himself for decades. The fact that they almost die both pushes him to open up to Yumichika.)
They both love different kinds of position depending who is top and who is bottom (but they enjoy them all anyway).
Yumichika doesn't like to be kissed (or to kiss) after orals or when Ikkaku licks his semen. Ikkaku doesn't mind but he agrees everytime to wash his mouth before kissing his boyfriend.
They never fight against each other (for training or show, for example) because they've discovered during their student years that it arouses them both. Hard.
XX: Lieutenant Madarame, we can't access the dojo!
Ik: What do you mean?
XX: The vice-capitaine is leading a meeting inside with members of other divisions.
Ik: What?
Ik: Hey! Could you... ?
Ya: GET OUT!
___
Something at the 11th Squad. It seems that Yachiru is up to something. And it involves some people from the other divisions. What could it possibly be?
(I know that in English Yachiru is lieutenant (I don't know what's the rank of Madarame on the other side), but in French, Kenpachi is captain and Yachiru, vice-captain, which is closer to the original version where Kenpachi is "taicho" and Yachiru "fuku taicho". So I keep it that way (especially that Ikkaki is lieutenant in French, so it's quite disturbing to read that Yachiru is (in English)).)
Super Nanny: What are you making her listening to, there?
Yu: Rammstein. It's from the Living World.
SN: Ram... to make her sleep?
Yu: Yes. It's the only thing that work, actually.
SN: ...
Yu: I can assure you. Come back in five minutes and she'll be fast asleep.

This is what she is listening to as lullaby:
I don't speak german but I searched for a translation of the lyrics (my first idea was Du Hast from Matrix OST, but Eisenmann talks about metal and knifes, and it suits more with the 11th Squad).
Yes, I'm still working on drawing people interacting closely. Still using many references.
This is the opportunity for me to drop some hc I've got about those two.

Ikkaku
Non-canon past-life: he died as a soldier only two years after he engaged himself in the local army. He was very young (underage) and fell into low district of Rukongai (not necessarily 76th, but lower than 50th).
More canon past-life: he was born into Seireitei, first born and only son of the Madarame family. Low class noble. He was supposed to follow his father footsteps but never wanted too. He's only wish was to engage as a Shinigami. He loved to fight and to learn many way of combat. But it was not the life planned by his parents. Pissed, he ran away as soon as he could and disappeared into the Rukongai, melting with souls from the lower districts, searching for fighters. His life into the Rukongai was the free-est life he has ever lived.
He's impulsive, hot-tempered, and he doesn't think much before he speaks, but he's a protective guy, quite respectful of hierarchy, and easy-going. He's also a faithful friend.
He's really appreciated by many people, even outside of the 11th Squad. Even if his manners can be brutal, he's sociable and he creates bounds easily, no matter gender and age.
He's usually the one who lead newbies' training and he's also there where it's time to show off in front of the students from Shinô Academy (because Kenpachi and Yachiru are way too strong to face students, it's up to Yumichika and him to talk for the 11th).
He's also the one who take care of training gear and various material for the 11th. And as he's quite handy, he repairs many stuff there too.
When he left his family, his sister was just a baby. He completely loses contact (on purpose with the "more canon" past life) with his family until Shino engages in the 13th Squad and shows up at the 11th to talk with her brother.
His father erased him from the family tree after he left, but his mother never forgot her son.
He never uses "Yumi" as a pet name for Yumichika because he knows what it means for him. So he always calls him by his full name.
He secretly wishes to spend all night with Yumichika in his arms, but it's impossible. First, because relationships are forbidden between soldiers with different grades. Then, because he doesn't want people to know for them. And because Yachiru bursts in Yumichika's bedroom every morning without knocking to ask for her breakfast (and she talks to everybody).
Yumichika
During his mortal life, he was sold by his parents to the local lord when he was 5 yo. He worked for the lord family as a servant. Then, the lord's daughter noticed him (they had the same age) and asked him to be her lover. He already knew he was into boys, but when she threatened him to tell her father that he was a thief, he obeyed. The lord was a brute with no pity for his slaves that he saw as objects. His daughter and Yumichika had a secret relationship for almost a year before she got married to a prince. A few month later, the lord pushed Yumichika from the walls of his castle.
Yumichika wished to become a Shinigami mostly to leave the Rukongai and to not wear rags anymore. He joined the 11th Squad because of Ikkaku.
Kenpachi had no trust in his strength at first, but when he saw him knock down a guy twice bigger than him with a single punch, he was convinced.
Yumichika is managing all the paperwork of the 11th Squad from day one, because Kenpachi, Yachiru and Ikkaku were lost cause for this kind of activity. As so, all the other captains and vice-captains know that if they need to talk about bills, law stuff, or just logistic, they have to ask him.
He's also the one who manage all the strategy of the 11th Squad, always in contact with Soul Society when they go in the Living World. He knows every protocols, codes and all. He's the only one to have this knowledge in the 11th.
He's cold, distant, harsh, mean, disrespectful and even merciless with everybody, but Ikkaku, Kenpachi and Yachiru. Outside of the 11th Squad, the other persons with which he can appears a little bit less cold are Rangiku, Renji and Tetsuzaemon. All the other can die in front of him, he won't care at all.
He's the perfect example of the expression: "don't judge a book by his cover." He's one of the smallest warriors of the 11th Squad, he's elegant and looks calm at first sight; but he's strong, fast, swears a lot and has terrifying outbursts when you push the right button.
Not much people appreciate him. Actually, except Ikkaku, Kenpachi and Yachiru, all the others would rather talk to anyone else but him from the 11th. And soldiers of the 11th Squad fear him. He doesn't mind.
He has no sense of family, so it asked him times to accept Shino around. Yet, she's still convinced that he could kill her in a blink of an eye.
He's the one who cook for Kenpachi, Yachiru and Ikkaku (and himself) as they are eating together. It's the only chore he agrees to do. Cleaning and laundry are done by lower grade soldiers of the 11th Squad.
He's a groundhog. If you don't wake him up in the morning, he can sleep until noon easily. He doesn't mind to be awake late at night but morning is sacred for him.
He has the best sense of smell of all Gotei 13. He was the first to be able to smell Yachiru's reiatsu (when most people can't). He can smell invisible Hollows, recognize people from far away, and he can even feel the presence of people under "invisibily" cloak (he can't determine their identity, but he can tell that someone is there around).
