Don’t Sink the White, 2015
Installation
Even on a scientific level, the make up of this metric prototype that is so engrained is being questioned. Herein lies the system’s weak spots that leave potential room for this scientific system to be investigated from a different, artistic perspective. Does this suggest a devaluing of science? Or perhaps a convergence of the two?

Concept statement.
this looks as though it is the result of the fingers on the mirror from my final work. it is, however, my deep, black laptop screen, somewhat resembling that full/empty, black/blank, lonely external hard drive.
Fingers, Nicola Brancatisano. 2014
Final work for COFA1002 Assessment 2.
It's simply not being able to access the information due to the thickness of the glass i.e. like two parallel lines, the fingers will never touch. Not even if the glass is smashed.
I imagine this work displayed in a dark empty room on a small screen on one of the blank walls. People come and go and most will not be patient in watching the whole 6 minutes. People connect with the short snippets that they can manage- everything else exists anyway.
