Ana and @santanabellas are wearing a suit made from a wool-neoprene laminate, featuring a detachable hood crafted from silver-gloss hard shell wool fabric. Elements from protective suits, such as protective patches, are combined with precisely placed welt pockets that can be cut open through the neoprene, providing access to an underlying removable pocket bag made from bamboo linen fabric. The exposed edges speak to the manufacturing process, bringing imperfection to a sculpturally shaped suit that offers the wearer a protective space in the urban environment

The Work (Flag) Vest
is an upcycled garment that reinterprets the traditional work vest by integrating materials and inspirations from both my own practice and construction environments. The outer shell is crafted from repurposed flags, with their prints and motifs carefully positioned on the pattern pieces to create a unique visual composition.
A layer of Vlieseline foam serves as the insulating middle layer, referencing the foam and insulation materials commonly found on construction sites. In certain areas, raw edges are intentionally left exposed, allowing the material’s aging process to be visible over time. The lining is made from a white perforated jersey mesh, inspired by construction site banners, offering a semi-transparent effect that subtly reveals the foam beneath.
For hardware, a white plastic zipper echoes the fastenings of flags and the securing mechanisms of construction materials, seamlessly tying the concept together.
Work (Flag) Vest is a fusion of functionality and symbolism—bridging personal labor, industrial aesthetics, and the evolving narratives of materials.
