"Daddy sorry, I put battery in my mouth" and my heart sank.

We were already panicking and we started looking for the button battery, but we cannot find it. Daddy was supposed to buy a new one for the calculator that’s why he kept it on his table, but Thalie reached it. Accidents happen, but it can be prevented only if we became more mindful and placed it in a higher place. I would like to share our experience and hope that it’ll help anyone in the same kind of situation.

✖️Do not induce vomiting - first thing I did was induce vomiting, in case the battery is still in her throat area. But I found out that this is wrong. It only added stress to Thalie and she kept on crying.

✔️ Give honey - I watched this Tiktok video regarding giving honey if your kid ingested a battery. This helps protect the lining of their esophagus. I watched this few weeks ago and I saved it, “just in case.” I never thought this will actually become useful!

✔️ Bring to the ER right away - It took us 3 hospitals before Thalie was accepted in the ER. Every hospital has full capacity during this pandemic! Good thing AUF accepted us and X-ray was the first thing they did to confirm ingestion.

How do you show your best love for your kids? One of our main responsibilities as a mom is to care for our family, and that includes cooking and making sure that they are eating well. Despite the chaos of raising kids, I believe that parents need a little zen once in a while. If you have a clingy baby like me, baby carriers are a big lifesaver! I’m so excited to share with you what came in the mail the other day! It’s Faye’s very own Promil Four #NurtureTheGift Photobook featuring her simple creations since she was younger. I actually feel bad that most of her photos when she was younger got corrupted in my old phone. I don’t have much aside from those posted on social media. That’s why having these photos printed now is really special to us.

She was also able to make dresses out of the tissue, deflated balloons, handkerchiefs, ponytail, paper, and adhesive tapes ⎯ talk about recycled fashion! I think she has an inclination to become a fashion designer one day.

Bibs are definitely in the top list of baby must-haves. From drooling to eating, this little piece of cloth is really helpful to babies from newborn up to toddler stage. Hello everyone! We are back to share another fun learning activity which you can do with your kids. This quarantine, we really need a LOT of ideas to keep the kids occupied and continuously learning.

I got interested to try these Picasso Tiles for my girls because it helps develop creativity and imagination. Aside from that, they are considered as STEAM Toys. STEAM Toys are Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math-based toys geared towards learning, curiosity, and education. It’s something that our kids will really benefit from.
