Speak Now Ch. 4 It seems that I was uninvited

Okay, I know the pole said not to publish the chapter in parts... But I guess I need to do this for myself. Aaaaand I kinda feel like no one cares anyway, So it's really just for me, and you can just ignore this whole post.

Right now, I don't have much time and energy to write the fic, so I have no idea when the full chapter will be ready, and I feel bad about it. Also, the whole chapter feels a bit overwhelming, so I think breaking it into smaller parts should help me.

I will post the parts as private to ensure no one accidentally reads them. And in this post, I will add links to all the parts.

“Emerald green,” Shikamaru quipped, chin resting on his palm, eyes lazy but sharp, studying the shade of her irises. “No. It’s teal,” he corrected himself after changing his angle of sight, the glint of light made her eyes shine with a different undertone.

A strange kind of warmth crept up Temari’s cheeks. With a small smirk, he inched towards her, still fixated, “Or maybe jade green.”

Her heart fluttered like a chaotic drum roll. The attention was fine, but the scrutiny—too much!

“Hm, but kinda dark green, too,” he leaned in, close enough to feel his breath. Immediately the heat turned visual, her face flushed in deep pink.

“Vivid…” his lips nearer to claiming hers, their gaze in a spellbound lock, “Startlingly green.”

His real intention was clearer now.

“Stop it,” a playful slap landed on his face, nudging him away, as she held her fortress from crumbling—barely.

“It’s just green, dammit.”
