"Agreed." Colbie nodded. Or at least that's how her friendships with the girls back in Savannah had been; nice and easy to shit talk with. It was only as the other mentioned she didn't think pistachio and chocolate went together that Colbie nodded. "Okay, I didn't either." she shrugged. "And I do agree those Dubai chocolate bars were disgusting, but, I had some dark chocolate covered pistachios not that long ago and they were kind of addicting. So much so I hate the entire bag in just a matter of a couple days." she stated. "So I think it depends. Because pistachio brownies were a hit and the dark chocolate covered ones, but, those Dubai bars are a big no for me too." she admitted. Once they'd placed their order and the waiter had left, Colbie looked back at the other. "So you're friends with the guy that owns the place?" she paused. "How long have you two known each other?" @nicolepeterson
She laughed a little bit and nodded. "I get that. I'm sure those were good. It's weird how things are like that. You like one version of the same thing, but not the other." She shrugged. After they ordered, she looked back over at Colbie and shook her head. "Oh, Matt doesn't own the place. He's just the manager." She clarified. "But I've known him forever. Our brothers are friends and we grew up together. He's also the godfather of my son." She told her. @colbiebowen

"I wasn't so sure that coming out here with a two month old would be worth it." Sutton stated, sun hat on Finley's head, her hand pressed against the back of his head as she baby wore him. "But so far it's been a lot of fun to see everything." She paused, taking a look at the other as they continued their journey around the park. "I saw a tent where someone was making strawberry rhubarb flavored pies and there was another booth that had some fun water games for the kids that I contemplated trying with Finley, but, unfortunately for everyone around if I did that he'd be screaming." she exhaled. Bath time wasn't a very pleasant time in their household. "Is there anything you saw that you wanted to try with Ryder? I'm happy to tag along."
Nicole smiled as she looked over at Sutton. "I'm sure the music is nice for him. Ryder seemed to enjoy the music during the winter festival when he was two months old. And now look at him." She laughed and looked at the two year old dancing to the music that was playing. "One Maybe towards the end of the summer he'll like that. Or next summer for sure." She said before shrugging. "I'd say he's content, but he did want to get his face painted. We can wait to do that later, though. Did you want to check anything out? We can walk around. He can dance wherever he goes." @suttonmjames
Daxton could not help himself, he found himself smiling as he looked at Nicole, seeing her blush and smile made him smile. He chuckled softly and did blush. "That's good because I would totally be offended if you said we were not friends at all," he teased raising his brows up and down playfully. "I do....think of us as friends." he answered. "Ya, and plus we click so very well too."
It was the truth, they clicked well and got along well. It was nice and he was enjoying her company and plus Dax always enjoyed her company. "I did take a sneak peak at his list and it is a maybe but the who is confidential, he will not tell me and he is also very secretive about mine too." he laughed. "Yup." @nicolepeterson
She grinned and shook her head. "I would never say that we are not friends. I promise." She told him definitely. "I'm glad you feel the same because I would also be offended if you didn't." She shot back at him with a soft laugh. He was right, they did click well. Which wasn't surprising since Dax was friends with Gale. As he talked about cupid, she nodded at him and crossed her arms. "That's rude of him for not telling you. Here I thought he'd help us both out so we can get to that happy relationship that everyone raves about." @daxtonxhays
"I'm always going to say yes to giving your friends shit." Colbie laughed. That was one of the many things about Savannah that she'd missed. The group of friends she'd made there and left behind; sure she had people here she'd consider her friends, but it was nothing compared to the friendships she'd had back home. "The amount of times that's happened to me though." Colbie laughed. "I had a pistachio brownie once and I thought it would be disgusting. I was just expecting a salty brownie, and not the kind that's accompanied with caramel." she paused. "But it was surprisingly my favorite dessert that summer." she laughed. "So I'm hoping we're doing all this shit talking and it's the best thing we've ever experienced." she admitted. As the other ordered Colbie shook her head, though paused. "Actually a water, ooh, no, lemonade." she smiled. "Two?" she questioned, waiting for the other to answer. @nicolepeterson
She laughed. "I'm glad you approve." She said with a grin. "What is a friendship anyways if you can't give the other shit?" She asked and listened to to her and shook her head. "Okay, that makes sense though. I don't really think pistachio goes with chocolate. Like thos Dubai chocolate things everyone was obsessed with? Disgusting." Nicole shook her head. "I feel some people just lied about liking it because they were popular." That's how it seemed to be with a few things though. "That'd be hilarious." She nodded at the mention of lemonade. "Yes, definitely lemonade." She agreed. "That's all." She smiled at the server and then watched them go back to make their food. @colbiebowen
"But, but you never said that I was interesting too so which is it Ms. Peterson?" he asked with a smile on his face, a grin and a playful and teasing tone before he chuckled. Dax would admit she had a beautiful smile and he loved seeing her blush. He sighed softly, nodding his head as he added. It was nice to talk to someone who understood completely. "Totally, I guess it makes things easy between us," he added as he looked up for a moment before looking at her and looking back into her eyes.
"Something tells me that you might have met them and I sometimes tend to be right about these things. After all I do sometimes work with that annoying cupid guy and might have some insider information," he replied chuckling. "Fair, dating can be hard but it is extra hard when you have a kid or raising your siblings." @nicolepeterson
The blush stayed on her cheeks and she took a breath as she rocked on her heels and looked off before looking back at him. "I think you're interesting." She met his eyes and shrugged. "I think all my... friends are interesting. Are we friends? My brother's friends." She felt like she was rambling, which was something she was good at as she got nervous. "Does it?" She asked and then listened to him and laughed. "Oh, yeah? And cupid is telling you that I've met my soulmate already?" Nicole stared into his eyes. "I guess we're in the same boat, huh?" @daxtonxhays

Sitting down as the men were instructed to do so at the next table to their right, Ollie smiled at the other. "Hi, I'm Ollie," he started as he got comfortable in his seat, leaning forward on the table on his elbows. "So tell me why a gorgeous woman like you is here for a speed dating event," he flirted way too much and way too hard and didn't even know why he was at the event. He wasn't necessarily looking fir anything specific but given his history he figured it could be a lot of fun.
"Nicole." She introduced herself as the man sat down and smiled at him, a slight blush filling her cheeks. "Coming in with the compliments right of the bat, huh?" She said and shook her head. "Honestly, my friend set this whole thing up. I need to get out in the dating room, apparently." She said and shrugged. "What about a handsome guy like you?" Nicole asked back. @olliehoffmann
"That's what I thought." Nicole laughed and shook her head. "Nope. There's no one in my life." Which she didn't mind. She honestly preferred it. Sometimes. There were definitely moments where she wished she had someone. "Just focusing on work and Ryder. Especially Ryder with everything going on with Elian. I want to make sure he's doing okay with all this." She paused and then looked at Pinar. "Since you're all in my business, what about you, huh? Anyone in your life?" @pinarxosman
"Please, I wouldn't be your best friend if I wasn't all up in your business." Pinar quipped, her teasing smile curling on the corners of her lips. "But no, there's no on in my life right now. I did sign up for speed dating, but that's really about it. I don't expect anything to come of it. I don't really know why I did it because five to ten minutes is not a lot of time to get to know anything about anyone." "I appreciate that." Arlo smiled, happy for the clarification even if it wasn't exactly needed. He knew he didn't fall into the category the two of them were talking about. "I mean there are unfortunately people every where you have to look forward to, but, it's the people online that you really have to look for." he nodded, knowing she also knew. As she explained about the family in Spain he shook his head. "People are ridiculous." he sighed. "I know it's not my place, but, thank you for not being one of those people." he sighed. "It's not fair to them and I am passionate about kids and how their set up for life, so, I just - yeah." he nodded. "You didn't ask me to get into that." he laughed. As they stopped in front of the giraffe exhibit, Arlo smiled, nodding. "Of course." he smiled, quick nod to say that he understood. "Remind me at the end to give you my copy of the feeding schedule I have in my car. There's some sort of specialty thing for every exhibit here depending on time of day and day of the week." @nicolepeterson
Nicole nodded. "It's a scary world. Honestly, when you caught Ryder as he was running away, I was kinda worried you were gonna kidnap him." She told him with a smile. "I'm glad it wasn't the case. I would've chased you down and if need, bit you." She said honestly. "You're welcome. And thank you for not being one of those people, too. And I mean the kidnappers." She laughed a little bit. She followed Her son and she nodded at Arlo. "I will. We'll probably be coming out a lot so get ready to see us frequently." @arlocontreras

"Mm, yeah, I could see that. He's got that look in his eye," Isaac stated with a soft laugh. "You might not ever know peace again." He teased, an easy warmth in his expression. He liked listening to Nicole, had for as long as he had known her. "That sounds a like a plan to me and dangerously close to you being my video game consultant or something like that." He teased, giving her a playful look. "I'll definitely take you up on that. You can humble me really quick, I'm sure if we play any together." @nicolepeterson
She laughed and put her head back against the seat. "Please don't jinx me. I'm going to be calling you to come take him out or something just so I can rest." She teased and looked over at Isaac. Truthfully, she wouldn't mind if Ryder was like that. She'd be there right with him no matter what. "I'll gladly be your video game consultant. I'll tell you what to stay away from and what ones you need to play right now." Nicole said before smiling. "Oh, you better believe it. I'm really good at a lot of them. Maybe we should let you practice before getting into any multiplayer matches." @isaacxthomas

Signing up for speed dating had been the idea of his friends, pushing him to get out there more. As they said to him, quite often too. His hands were resting around the beer that he ordered to give himself a hint of liquid courage. Small talk was not something that came easily to Christopher, one could merely ask his patients at the hospital. It's why he preferred to be in surgery most of the time. He didn't have to entertain the idea of conversation if he did not want to and many nurses, residents and other hospital staff knew that about Chris. He steadied his gaze on the blonde, "I was trying to figure out what the right question is here, and I'm not sure there is one." The surgeon admitted as the signal for the current round started.
Nicole was starting to believe that dating wasn't exactly for her. The people she had met were nice, but she wasn't sure how things were going. As the next guy sat down, someone she didn't know for once it felt like, she sat up a little and looked at him curiously. "What do you mean?" She asked. "We could always start with names." She stuck her hand out. "I'm Nicole Peterson. I work as a Twitch streamer and YouTuber and I have a two and a half year old son." She spilled out and kept her hand out for the man to take. @christopherxmurray
"I feel like someone couldn't decide what they wanted one day, the kitchen staff made up the first thing they thought of and someone decided to put it on the menu." she exhaled, eyes shifting towards the other as she closed the menu. She had to agree that it didn't sound great but she'd do whatever she could to at least attempt to enjoy it. Mostly because now she was curious. "Please do." she laughed, nodding enthusiastically in the other's direction. "I'm just -" she shook her head. "I'm going to stop judging it until I try it but honestly I don't have high hopes." @nicolepeterson
She laughed and nodded. "That honestly makes a lot of sense. And probably something that happened. And yet, I want to give Matt shit for it anyways." Nicole said and she put the menu down. "You know, that's understandable. For all we know, it's going to be the best thing we've ever had and we're taking bad about it." Nicole said and looked at the server as they came over. "We'll take two of the pizza burritos, please." She ordered for them. "Anything else you'd like?" @colbiebowen
Dax laughed, smiling as he shake his head. Dax never thought himself as boring or interesting at all. He just thought himself as just Dax. The male was always himself, confident and did not hide anything at all. Despite his family baggage. "So you do think am interesting? That's good to know," he winked with a grin on his face as he playfully bumped her shoulder with his. The male nodded as she spoke. "I understand that and I get. I guess people would also be put off with me too of me being a dad and also raising my sibling. I like to believe there is the right person out there and maybe you might have already met them."

She laughed a little and she blushed. "Shush." She playfully pushed him. "I've never said you weren't, so..." She shrugged and shook her head with a smile. "It's hard being single parents, huh? At least we have others to relate to." Nicole took a breath. "Maybe. I doubt it, though. If I have, wouldn't I be with them already?" She asked, looking into his eyes before laughing. "I feel that way, too. I mean, I think I only really dated my son's dad. I've gone on a few first dates, but never anything that serous. And never anything after I had Ryder." @daxtonxhays
Daxton smiled and chuckled after Nicole came up to him and spoke. He shook his head before shrugging his shoulders. The bartender had been surprised he took part in this whole speed dating event and thing. People always said he had to put himself out there and so he guessed he was. "I don't believe so, we will see if someone call me or find me interesting enough," he teased with a grin on his face as he smiled at looked at Nicole. "What about you Nicole? Find any future dates?" @nicolepeterson.
"Come on. Who wouldn't find you interesting?" She asked curiously before shrugging. "I don't know. Maybe." She stood up a little bit, sighing. "I don't think it'll come to anything, though. Everyone was nice, but I don't know. I always feel like people are going to be put off by me being a mother. Not sure anyone is looking to be a stepparent." She shrugged. "I've never been great at dating." @daxtonxhays

She had stepped outside and was heading towards her car when she spotted Daxton. She had seen him inside and there was always something about those childhood crushes that still made you smile. She walked over towards him and leaned against the building. "So, find any future dates in there?"

While she didn't like particularly she was there, she was making the best of it and honestly seeing Carmen made her happy. "You look amazing, as always." She said and crossed her legs. "I feel like it's been forever since I've seen you. How are you doing?" Nicole asked curiously.
