I was peeved about a silly client request and something drove me to peek into some old journals while I was waiting for the video to export. I realized that the one I had grabbed was from 2006. 20 entire years ago. Back then, I was listening to "Faust" on a loop, reading shit tons of William Blake, listening to podcasts about Freemasonry, and scribbling my 14-year-old's attempts at visionary poetry. I used to think all of this was cringe af, but I think that was the most authentic version of me in a way.
