nico arrived at a time which was very convenient for him. any moment later and he probably would have been locked out. he searched and searched to find his girlfriend but no luck. he ended up going to the area near where the ‘incident’ occurred. from a glance he couldn’t really see much besides other people trying to see what was the matter as well. he turned around as soon as his name was called. his eyes widened as he saw lennox in such distress. “babe, what happened? why are we locked in here?”

“I’m not sure. They won’t tell us anything, but some woman ran in here screaming that someone had been killed,” she said, her speech slightly slurred. “Fuck, I’m just so glad you’re safe.”

“holy shit..” he trailed off looking back at the area where the incident happened. he turned his attention back to lennox. he placed both his hands on her cheeks. “but you’re okay right? you didn’t get hurt or anything?”

After the police started barricading doors, Lennox started to panic. She still hadn’t seen Nico and if this wasn’t a prank….she shook her head, shaking the thought from her head. She started rushing around the room, searching every nook and cranny for him before she finally spotted the familiar tall figure. “Nico!” she cried out, throwing her arms around him. “I was so worried about you!”

Nico looked back and forth between the ID card and the face of the person trying to buy some drinks. "Sorry, dude you don't look 21."

“You rarely offer to water any of my plants,” she teased, kissing his cheek. “I’m basically a single mom to lots of little green babies.” She winced slightly as he pulled the barbs out. “You’re just a weenie.”

“Not true, I offered to water them last week and you told me not to.” He chuckled lightly, playing close attention to her arm. “I’m more of a dog person than a plant person, babe.”

“I mean, I know we’ve all been through a lot lately, but that is no excuse for the state of your hair,” River smirked, fixing the hair of the person next to her at the coffee shop.

“River, my hair is fine, you don’t need to adjust anything.” He let the girl continue despite his comment. He didn’t want to ruin whatever fun she could’ve been having as she fixed his hair. “Anything else I should be fixing?”

“As much as I love plants and everything, being around cacti isn’t fun. Any chance you wanna help me yank out these stupid barbs?” Lennox asked, holding up an arm with a line of cactus barbs sticking out of it.

“The cactus may be my least favorite plant of yours because of these barbs.” He joked as he started taking out the individual barbs delicately so that it wouldn’t hurt as much. “This is why I never offer to water them for this exact reason.”

yo i’m maureen and this is my son nico. so basically nico is one of kevin’s old friends. once nico died he went through a pretty rough time considering he was very close to kevin. the kid went through a bit of a slump and decided to take a gap year from school. he ventured off into the world of writing which he ended up enjoying but he knew he couldn’t make any money just yet so he learned his way on how to become a bartender and that became his current job. this is kind of a shitty description but yeah im half awake and have school tomorrow. but if any of you want to plot i’d be down with practically anything !!
