Things I've learned since growing up...

I've learned that life is so, so fragile. Crazy to think that you can know someone for just a few days and then you never forget the impression they left on your heart. I've learned that art can be both sad and beautiful at the same time. I've learned that... if someone loves you, and I mean truly loves you for you, they'll wait for you to love them back. I've learned that no matter how much you want something doesn't determine whether you get it or not, that the word 'no' might not be enough, that life isn't fair, that my parents can't save me and that I can't save them, and that, at the end of the day, maybe no one can. I've learned that in the end there doesn't have to be anyone who understands you. There just has to be someone who wants to... I've also learned that if they want to leave, you should let them. You are worth staying for.

What in life is free?

So, recently I've been looking for ways to make some extra money to see if I can help my parents since my dad got laid off.

What I found? Too many websites that ask you about your skills, and then... they have the audacity to make you pay to look for ways to get paid!!

We're left in a world where we are so dependent on the internet, on other people, that the concept of just helping another human being is so foreign to us, that we don't even give everyone the same opportunities to just make an extra income.

My millennial a** cannot get over the fact that everyone is willing to stamp on each other to get to the top, but there's no one at the top that will put their hand down and help the guys at the bottom.

What if we’re so broken that no one want to love us? What if the cliched concept of ‘not everyone is the same’ is just a lie we tell ourselves to veer away from the fact that we ARE really all alike. Be it love, friendship, appreciation, acceptance.... we all crave that one thing, and what people don’t seem to realise is that we’ve found it in ourselves , that’s not the problem, the problem is that other people fail to notice these things within us.

And so we’re doomed to be alone, lonely, loners... other people are too blind to see our worth.

We’re all just a bunch of cogs, turning... we try to fit into one another to continue the slow ticking of the clock.

Thing is, it’s difficult to find the perfect fit, isn’t it?

And that’s the whole point of it all.

We’re all just alone, trying to figure out what we’re supposed to be doing with our lives, our love, our talents and passions......until we find our place.

Habit of thought...

I've come to realise that we often lay waste to our own interests through what we allow to continue.. We often get used and manipulated by others - people we know, people we think we trust and people we allow to be apart of our lives.. Be careful and try to rise above, it is important to stay true to yourself and to not stoop to their level. Be who you want to be, but without hurting or stepping on others to get there - our humanity is what sets us apart from others - remember, we're all part of one big family, the human-family! Let's stop using and abusing each other and rather, let's build each other up and support one another! 😀 💖
