Lavender Scare is catchy af. It has a nice contrast to it, kind of a bubblegum that’ll kick your ass, nice legs with thick hair y’know what i mean. Nothing too fancy but it is put together well with enough versatility between songs that keeps you listening. SO baby gurl, if you got that barbie house in the desert do some donuts in the dust and pin the stereo. 7.5/10
Go to the shed out back shut the door, play these songs. Perfect October release. Fucking dark, driving, wavey and post everything hopefully including the impending apocolypse. Koban (see relationship goals) has been a favourite for a long time and this release didnt disappoint. Whether your driving alone, digging holes, burning mail or having surgery this is a great listen 9/10
Tilt your head back for a second, relax yourself. Keep it there as your neck starts to swivel. The voice of an Agarthan princess caresses your mind. A lullaby of dreams, Impatiens as a 2 song release is very impressive. Experimental but not too far gone. As far as nu-soul goes both vocally and production wise it’s butter. 8/10
The Inconsolable Jean-Claude by Lake Ruth comes in with a bassline that wanders but not far enough to get lost. Very smooth with a guitar chop that decays nicely. Both songs jangle but true to themselves, drumming very tasty and compliment the vocal melodies. The rhythm section is very solid and balances the fragile(not a bad thing) leads. 7/10
