"And what was the most important thing I told you, Jyuudaime -?"
"- don't flirt with any women present." He gives Hayato a look that makes his best friend flush. "Hayato, *why* would I flirt with a women? And why would it matter if I did?"
"Do you remember the Russian Xanxus was itching to be let loose on? The one that was copying him, badly?"
He wrinkles his nose, trying to remember the man's name; Xanxus had mostly been ranting about the badly treated Siberian tiger and the man's laissez faire attitude to consent. "Semilio?"
"He went after our host's civilian ... well, I'll call her his girlfriend, but I suspect she's more than that. Setting Xanxus on him would have probably been kinder."
"What sort of more?"
"He's notoriously *not* a Sky, despite being his father's favourite to succeed him in the syndicate."
"Ah." His lips twitch. "So no flirting with him, either?"
Hayato throws up his hands in despair and he grins at the other man.
"I didn't say *that*. Though, if we have to fight our way out of another meeting, Xanxus and Kyōya will both start insisting on joint playdates, Jyūdaime."
"Maa, maa. We'll be fine, Hayato-kun. Tsuna's turned into a competent flirt when he wants to be." He sighs and smothers both of his Guardians in Sky Flames before they can take their frustrations out on each other.
"Remind me what we're *actually* here to negotiate for, Hayato -?" That earns him another exasperated sound from his Storm-Cloud, but Hayato obliges, running back down their negotiating stance and he leans back in his seat and lets his consigliere's voice wash over him, soothingly.

Kuroshitsuji

Haikyuu!!
D.Gray-man
I think the reason why I'm grouping these together is obvious tbh...

I'm a fandom oldie and a strong proponent of "ship and let ship", and I defend everyone else's right to ship what they love... But I think that gives people the idea that I like, automatically love every single ship??? Or every single trope?
I don't though!
There are a lot of fandom tropes that are on my "absolutely fuck no" list. There are a lot of irk kinks that are also on my "nope absolutely not" list, too. Personally, this is healthy. I'm able to look at something and go "Yep, I hate it, but it's not harming anyone, so continue to do as you please."
I think this is where the rubber meets the road for actually having principles. It’s easy to defend the things we like, just like it’s easy to fight for our own rights and those of people just like us. When you have to use logic to extend your sense of justice to people you can’t relate to, that actually takes effort.
when the right hand man is only pathetic for the boss and and and only listens to the boss and is cranky to everyoen else but the boss says one thing and the right hand man is flowers and happiness and
few things more humbling than the realization that you really do write the same fic(s) over and over again
Takesushi Apprenticeship
“Why should I take you on as an apprentice, Tsunayoshi?” Takeshi’s father is even more terrifying than he’d expected him to be and he babbles his prepared answer, talking about how the one thing he’s good at school is food technology and then about saving Takeshi and the copy of the koseki he’d found in the attic of his kaa-san’s and how Yamamoto-sama was on it, and he’s sure he’s about to be told ‘no’, but the older man sighs and puts his knives down. “And your father hasn’t sent for you?”
“My father’s dead, Yamamoto-sama.” That gets him a raised eyebrow.
“And you’ve officially finished Nami-chuu?” He nods. “I would like you to make a formal notification of that fact to a specific address in Sicily. If you receive no response within the month, I will allow you to begin the apprenticeship process, Tsunayoshi.”
He chews his lip. “I, um, I need to work so I can eat Yamamoto-sama. Could I start now -?”
The older man pinches the bridge of his nose. “Any pay and formal contract will need to wait until my conditions are met, but if you are willing to start with the very simplest tasks, I will ensure you’re fed until then, Tsunayoshi.” Something is left unsaid, but he’s just so utterly relieved that he’s going to get to eat that he doesn’t question his luck.
"Oyaji, why didn't you *tell* me that you had such a cute new apprentice!"
"Because he isn't an apprentice yet, Takeshi-kun." His father sounds amused by his shamelessness. "But you are, and due to be promoted, especially since Ito-san is a guest at [my mentor's shop] at the moment."
"Maa, maa. I thought I was being too irresponsible for that."
"I changed my mind." His father gives him a pointed look. "Tsunayoshi's situation is complicated. Don't terrorise him."
"He's too cute for that. I thought he was going to grow out of it, but if anything he's gotten even more biteable." That earns him a sigh. "There's going to be other people wanting to flirt with him now he's out of that house, oyaji."
"Asarigumi. Now."

It's ridiculous, but I have 50K of material my brain is not willing to let me post to AO3. It's stupid; I have no idea what the block is.
