It’s been two weeks since this huge Maria Elena Rios/Tenoch Huerta bombshell happened.

Rios is considered this huge Icon of Feminism in Mexico, right?

2  Weeks, and some how, we have no professional articles in Mexico doing exclusive interviews with her? No Exclusive on air talks via phone or video with her?

Like no open discussion with her on National News?

Just these tweets and the small gossip pick ups? 

No one finds this odd? No one?!?!

I've seen people say that she was blocking journalists reaching out for more information or comment.

It is rather odd because, from what I've observed in the past, most alleged victims tend to want their word out from a trusted journalistic source.

But then this appears to have been an accusation made from someone else's testimony/experience. One of whom is currently refuting the claims posted. So it's looking a lot like hearsay.

Wakanda Forever is coming to Disney+ soon and I imagine that this'll bring many people back to the movie so while I do want you guys to have fun shipping nashuri and ogling at the sexy fish man, I also want you guys to remember what this movie is actually about.

Wakanda Forever is an anti-colonization story and about how often times people of color are pitted against each other instead of fighting those actually in the wrong. It's also important to remember that we should support Tenoch Huerta (Namor's actor). Latin people are one of the least represented races in Hollywood so it would mean a lot to me (a POC) if you would support him.

Marvel movies (movies aimed mostly a cishet white male audience) are some of, if not, the most influential movies in Hollywood right now, so by supporting Tenoch this could help to support more Latin people get more roles in acting in the future. (Also, from what I've seen, he's such a nerd (affectionately)).

While I get that you probably thought you were giving well-intentioned advice here, this has to be - and I speak for myself here - the most patronising and microaggressive thing I've read in the tag that wasn't from an anti. And if you're not an anti why are you making the same assumptions about Nashuri shippers that antis make? (I don't see you advising any other shipper group in your tags so this is clearly directed at one group of shippers only.)

1. Why the assumption Nashuri shippers specifically need to be reminded of the themes of BPWF, that our shipping doesn't already encompass that, or that we lack that awareness?

2. Plenty of Nashuri shippers are POC who supported BPWF (in theatres instead of waiting for D+; and via various other avenues) entirely to support the PoC in it and who made it.

3. Plenty are already supporting PoC in film and media elsewhere.

4. Why is this specifically a Nashuri concern as opposed to any other ship with Namor (or Shuri) or any other Talokanil and Wakandans in it?

5. The implication of 4. and your 'ogling at the sexy fish man' comment is that no other group of shippers is shipping a pairing purely by virtue of the attractiveness of the actors involved. So no one else ships because they consider an actor hot? Really? How would you know either way what any individual's motivation is, btw? Yet I only seem to see this one lobbed at Nashuri shippers. (Not seen this energy aimed at any other ship with Namor in it. Or any other ship to this degree.)

Frankly, I come into the tag to specifically avoid microagressive assumptions like this; they've been thrown non-stop at this pairing just for it existing, and I'm tired of hearing the gaslighting (so consider yourself blocked because it's on sight at this point).

I'd suggest modifying your coment to either include all ships involving Namor and/or take your future concerns directly to those in the various tags you seem to think are so egregious they specifically need this kind reminder. As it stands your post comes off as though you've assigned yourself ship moderator duties and I don't see why you specifically get that role.

FYI, I can confidently say plenty of us will be supporting Tenoch no matter. (I personally am hoping for more positive brown and indigenous Latino rep in all medias, and happy to support it.)
