Nightmare pausing activities for 2016

At today’s live in Sendai and the start of the Awakening of Clowns Tour 2016 it was announced that Nightmare will be putting their activities on halt. Reason one being Yomi’s severe voice problems and reason two being Hitsugi’s hernia problems (resulting in pain in his neck and shoulder as well as numbness in his fingers), both of which have been going on for a long time and now require a period of rehabilitation.

The spring tour hasn’t been cancelled so far, so it can be assumed that they will proceed as scheduled and any announcements for this year (Okinawa and the fanclub trip) are still valid. However, no further lives have been announced for the end of the year and it’s likely to stay that way.

Each of the members has released a short statement and Sakito has pointed out that it’s only a short break and told people not to worry. He says that it’s important to keep on running, but just as important to stop when necessary and that this break is crucial if they want to return quickly and with new strength.

Their management’s official statement is something along the lines of “this decision has been reached due to the members’ stagnating physical condition over the recent years and in order to maintain Nightmare’s quality with the 20-year anniversary mark in mind.”
