“Pools of sorrow, waves of joy are drifting through my opened mind. Pssessing and caressing me.”
“I am done with my graceless heart, so tonight I’m gonna cut it out and then restart.”
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - Marble Gallery

In Your Eyes // Peter Gabriel
@nightsymph0ny asked ❛ She was an evil woman with an evil old soul, her piercing eyes emotionless a heart so black and cold ❜
While his expression remains neutral, his gaze is lifted to the tranquil sky above as he listens to the stranger. As always, he seems the picture of perfection, still as though he’s carved out of marble, only breaking the illusion when he finally drops his gaze.
“I am not quite sure if you say that with fondness or disdain.”
Truthfully, Alucard had no idea who it was that he was speaking to. However, having an ear to bend was enough for him right now. Be it a common villager, or a mysterious deity...it didn’t matter. Not to him.
“I suppose both are two sides of the same coin. I could not hate this woman if I did not care for others.” His gaze met the stranger’s own. “My hatred for her burns. Slowly, like the embers of a fireplace that should’ve long been snuffed out.”
“𝐎𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞. 𝐈'𝐦 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠.” 𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐟, 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭… 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬… 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐞. “ 𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐚 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐟, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬. ”
“𝐀𝐥𝐬𝐨, 𝐈'𝐦 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐈'𝐦 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐤𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐛𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬..” 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐢𝐥 𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞.
“Forgive my suspicion, but it’s happened before.” Alucard didn’t keep these objects out of greed, or even because he found them interesting; though they were intriguing. These objects were kept in his care because if they fell into the wrong hands, the results would be most likely, devastating.
“As I said just a moment ago, these objects are not up for sale or trade.” Of course, there was one very specific exception to this rule. The Belmont family, whom he trusted, were allowed to take objects from this collection. The Belmont's were well known monster hunters and Alucard was well acquainted with their ancestors.
That being said, he didn’t exactly want to leave this woman empty handed either. She had traveled far, just for the chance at a trade. “...However, I may have something else for you. Follow me.” He let out a sigh and turned briskly; his black cape fluttering behind him as he walked down the long hallway.
“ .. sorry ” it falls as little more than a breath , gaze falling unto hands that rested against stomach ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ shaken fingers toying with one another. foolish .. it rang true , what was she to do if he got hurt ? she wasn’t skilled with weapons , not having one on her person ; too fearful to use own magic .. she’d have been useless & he’d have been another person she killed.
slowly do eyes lift , rather surprised by swords own movements ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ resulting in a wide eyed gawk. he was curious & perhaps had she the mind to focus she would know why , “ ah .. thank you ” curious indeed. basket taken , contents disturbed & not quite as much as she had hoped to gather but it was enough to do for now.
“ i think i learned that the hard way , ” a fleeting , ghost of a smile. “ would .. would you mind walking me back to my village ? i’m sorry , i know you already aided me .. but those things .. scare me ”
Her nervous posture and barely audible words didn’t go unnoticed; but Alucard chose not to comment on it. That would only make things more awkward for the both of them.
“Of course, my lady. I...was actually going to suggest that.” Alucard’s responds with no hesitation. The moment he decided to get involved was the moment that this woman’s safety became his responsibility.
“Ah, just, wait one moment--” He turned back to the creature and ripped out one of it’s canines before dragging the corpse off the road. He would keep the tooth as evidence for any villager that sought to accost him for his presence. Not one in need of payment; he simply wanted to show that he bore no ill will towards humans.
“Now, shall we?” He gestured to the open road in front of him. “The path looks clear.”

@nightsymph0ny liked for a starter
Jessamy knew that she could be making a significant mistake. Witching was a hanging offense in Massachusetts Bay. If anyone found out where she was going or the people that she was speaking with, she could very well find herself imprisoned or dead.
But that didn’t take the thrill away, that didn’t make it easy to stop.
Curiosity seemed destined to get the better of her.
She wasn’t sure if she believed in any of it. She had not seen any magic or any monsters that she knew of, but that didn’t mean that nothing was happening.
She stayed quiet, listened more than she spoke, but her eyes drifted over to the strange man who she had not seen before all the same.
“Magic is feared irrationally, and this leads to unnecessary harm.”
Alucard wasn’t a teacher, nor a scholar of magic. However, he had enough skills at his disposal to instruct, if he so wished.
The girl beside him radiated a very specific energy; not something that just any human exuded. Though unfortunately, in this place, magic users were feared, persecuted and punished severely. It was unfair, unjust...
So, Alucard had taken upon himself to become acquainted with this girl over a period of days. Slowly gaining her trust with the promise of sharing his own knowledge of magic. He was aware of the risk she was taking, but while she was in his presence, no harm would come to her.
“That’s why I will show you the true nature of this world, and what talents lie beneath your breath.”
Starting out with a simple demonstration, he lifted his hand and began to summon one of his familiars. It appeared in the palm of his hand in a quick flash of blue light; a fairy.
