FDNY Firefighter Tim Duffy (@duffy4161), whom I met a few months after this photo was published, was off duty but rode to Ground Zero from his home in Staten Island when he saw the attack on TV. He arrived after the first World Trade Center tower fell and went to work helping injured people evacuate. Today Tim runs 1Soldier 1Dog 1Team, rescuing dogs from shelters and training them as companions for wounded warriors with PTSD.
