I can finally share some art I did! I made this earlier this year way back in Jan/Feb while working on Trollstopia. Here’s a humanized/human sized Synth (a mermaid) and Branch (still a troll but bigger).

Not sure what the proper wording is but humanized is the closest I can think of describing it?

In the pop evil au, what are the k pop trolls like?

its VERY funny you ask this because theyre some of the characters i actually do have a set role for in this mishmash of an au LMAO

(i know redesigning them to be similar to the red velvet trolls promo designs isnt new but it IS very cute and i wanted them to be more distinct)

in the pop evil au, the kpop gang are... semi-sort of in the role of hickory and dickory. Poppy hires them to keep an eye on barb! since kpop is so adjacent to her own genre, they click very quickly. but unlike hickory, the k pop gang dont really find any good will with barb, being the way she is, all brash and worked up about stopping pop. She’s a very... selfish with her motives? its not about saving the other genres, at least not at first. its about one upping that little pink freakazoid

The kpop gang, (in disguise, particularly because of barbs aversion to pop) do their best to cause unease and tension between barb and her friends. poppy needs to get barb alone, to convince her that what she’s doing is Good And Right.

i havent really decided if i wanted to keep them dressed as country trolls like hickory- in this scenario there would be four of them as two country trolls, and the fifth one just runs correspondance to poppy? the funk troll design is literally all five of them stuffed into an extra long neck LOL

id also considered techno, but figured itd be more difficult for them to pull off

either way its. incredibly obvious that theyre fakes, unlike hickory- they arent very subtle about it, but barb is so self absorbed she doesnt really realize until poppy finally catches her.
