          even in such a cozy circumstance, jessica giggled as a kiss was placed to her forehead, only to be ceased upon the kiss to her lips. daire seemed to just ooze warmth at the moment, and it was so easy to relax in her arms with that in mind. at this point, the affections were just a bonus.

          “just a little bit...they never turn the heat up enough. something about regulations.” despite everyone in the building complaining about the cold. god, it sucked to deal with corporate red tape, and it just made her glad she wasn’t in a position to do so. “and the wind outside doesn’t help.”

          she felt her lover’s embrace tighten, ever-so-slightly, as if to protect her from the world. this embrace was, admittedly, one of jessica’s favorites that she’d been given; after feeling like she was fighting for so long, it was nice to have more spaces where she could feel no need to struggle against something, to feel protected when she would often do the protecting.

          “...this is relaxing me right now.” the smile that eased onto jessica’s features was soft, but had a hint of mischief to it. “makes me consider just packing up and leaving sometimes.”

sr1. a rose is only as strong as her thorns.

starting the paralysis at the tender age of sixteen, with no experience in most professional matters ---- this caused the girl once known as jessica to experience quite the scare. she’d known murder existed, that the sins of this world existed, but had never thought that it would arrive on her doorstep to terrorize her and destroy her family.

that didn’t mean she passively sat by, of course. the human instinct of fight or flight was strong, and although flight was preferred, she had no choice when cornered by the scyther. a knife was taken, and although she was scarred from one eye, she managed to take the bug’s arm from him.

fighting wasn’t her strong suit at first. even so, staying at an adult friend’s house for several days led her to train herself. trying to steel herself against the thoughts in her head telling her that her efforts were useless, as well as growing more accustomed to the weight of a “staff” and blade.

she took the name shadowrose thanks to the appeal of both. sixteen and frail as a flower, but darkened by the blood that had been shed thanks to the paralysis’s arrival ---- the alias had stuck, with the girl using roza as a more casual name in order to conceal her identity.

as the years crawled by, she matured. frightened child to a weary but skilled woman, roza became a source of comfort to those in human and pokemon factions dedicated to saving the world and defeating primal dialga. with her partner, grovyle, the two became symbols of hope.

hope that they had to cling onto in order to combat the despair of the paralysis.

eq1. our master has commanded us, but we will not obey!

equinox is able to create temporary appearances with magic in order to help navigate around humans, known as “glamours”; however, she tends to rely on a handful due to her limitations.

her main go-to is that of an old man, as she doesn’t panic when attempting to get close to the appearance she truly wants to be ( which she doesn’t know is her former appearance ); however, she feels dysphoric after using it for long periods of time, and thus only uses it whenever she truly needs to navigate and pretend to be human.

a more androgynous glamour was picked up after the season finale, when equinox wanted to attempt helping the humans that were turning into ink thanks to joey’s machinations. she will use this form in order to camouflage among them, even as she pretends to worship bendy as much as sammy does.

a female glamour is a constant work in progress for equinox, but she intends to eventually begin using its full result when she can find it in herself not to panic when selecting an appearance. it’s not an easy process, but she’s trying.

p1. i’m only human after all

hoenn-born, eventually moving to alola in order to live and learn from new pokemon. she is considered an explorer class due to her far-wandering tendencies; she's visited sinnoh, unova, and kalos prior to heading to alola, building her team in those areas as well.

one of her dreams is to visit kanto and meet professor oak, citing that she respects him quite a lot and would enjoy having a conversation with him about pokemon. she doesn't carry a pokedex, though, instead deigning to write her notes down in notebooks.

her team consists of:

logan, a sceptile

artemis, a swellow

luciana, a lucario

osiris, a cofagrigus

dancer, a sylveon

and finally, nike, a kommo-o.

hoenn-born, her family moved to galar at a young age, although she has been itching to leave the region and start some of her own adventures. she wants to be a pokemon professor as well, jotting down notes in notepads despite the insistence of professor magnolia to use a pokedex; she claims that she has more authentic experiences with writing her observations down, though, so she's trying her best.

while her family lives in turffield, she actually lives in circhester, preferring to be in the snow with warm clothes and returning home to a nice and lit fireplace with her pokemon. she also partakes in pokemon battles to document moves and abilities, and thus has made herself a "main" team.

she did try to participate in the gym challenge when she was younger, but around this time, she had ended up with a deep depression that made her resign from it; she isn't sure if she wants to participate again, but sometimes the thought strikes her. her number is 412, after her birthday.

her team consists of:

wildfire, a cinderace

knightmare, a corviknight

venus, a drednaw

erik, a flapple

serenity, a hatterene

and lavigne, a low-key toxtricity
