Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth,

To speak ill of another person, to talk shit, put down, spread rumors, or otherwise is wrong. Yet it’s so hard to not let corrupt communication leave your mouth and often detrimental. I try hard not to control what an how I say think but find that I still have a slick and thorny tongue.

but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

However, I have ask for God to work on me and my mouth and how I use it. To edify means to instruct or improve and every day God is edifying me so that I may help others. We are meant to uplift others. We should even try to use graceful communication for those we would normally talk about.

To strive for perfection all the while running for destruction. Taking two roads in different directions is mania. The urges to lay down and succumb is so overwhelming but so is my desire to persevere. Am I alone? I think I’m alone. Haunted by despair. Negative thoughts overpower positive ones. Succeeding if only for a moment in perpetuating the cycle.

Light...peace

Those moments of complete silence. Where the world falls away. Happy moments I suspend myself in. If only these times lasted longer. Didn’t hide a tinge of darkness.

I am lovable

I am lovable To be lovable is to say you matter. To say you’re important as well. This is a new concept for me. Until recently I didn’t think I was lovable. If you think you are unlovable then your thoughts and behaviors tend to follow suit. You put others wants and needs before your own to the detriment of yourself. People are allowed to disrespect you because you don’t deem yourself respectable. I can say that not loving myself allowed the doorway to be open for abuse filled relationships and the wrong types of people to get to enter my circle. The process of starting to love yourself is a hard one. Especially, when you’ve spent years doing exactly the opposite. I took it one day at a time and started doing little things, making small decisions that ultimately put me first. Self care, setting boundaries, not over extending myself, investing in my dreams, journaling. While sometimes I fail and slide back into old habit overall the love I have for myself brings me back to center. ‘I am lovable’ is a declaration for me that I am valuable. #Lovable #Growth #SelfLove
