FIND OUT MY ORIGINS; Gilbert
The translation isn't 100% accurate, so expect mistakes! The story does not belong to me, it belongs to Cybird. I'm just translating so others can also enjoy the stories if they cannot wait for english translation:)
Warning: spoilers from Gilbert's route! This story is from his pov!
The beast of ravage will stop at nothing to achieve his goals.
Gilbert: "We'd be willing to accept all your conditions."
Sariel: "All our conditions? As in...everything we just said?"
Gilbert: "Yep. Firstly, what was it, a non-aggression treaty? Sure, we can put it clearly in writing that we won't carry out acts of aggression against your nations."
Gilbert: "And the idea of Mercantile collaboration, that's not bad at all. A closed market is bound to reach its limit eventually, after all."
Gilbert: "Now, I don't mind accepting your demands but I despise traitors."
Gilbert: "So, I want something that will ensure you never betray us again. In other words, a hostage."
Leon: "......You bastard."
Gilbert: "Give me the little rabbit."
(Although...this is quite far from original goal.)
[Screen change — night sky]
The hostage negotiation concluded surprisingly quickly.
Little rabbit, who got handed over by foreign affairs faction, had the strong gaze of determination.
But, perhaps, it was just her habit of not wanting to make others worry.
[Screen change — Obsidian]
Emma: "Prince Gilbert...."
Gilbert: "Oh, little rabbit. Are you done already?"
Several days after crossing the Obsidian border,
Little rabbit apologetically held the soup and meat that had been prepared at the campsite.
Gilbert: "It's only decreased by about half."
Emma: "......I'm already full."
Gilbert: "Was your belly always that small?"
(This is bad....It's been like this for a while now.)
Her body appeared much more thinner than when we first met under the lights of campfire.
I am undoubtedly the reason why she became so painfully weak.
(You've endured so much malice in the palace of Rhodolite.)
(I guess you were already worn out at that time...)
(It seems she couldn't handle being in an unfamiliar place where she didn't know anyone.)
The little rabbit also didn't seem to want to leave them behind, gnashing her lips in frustration.
I placed my finger on her lips, which looked like they could bleed at any time.
Gilbert: "I guess, camping outside is pretty tough."
Gilbert: "I'm sorry but the number of facilities where the members of imperial family can reside in is pretty limited."
(Staying in inn at town is an option, but locals will be intimated if my true identity is exposed.)
(I don't really care about intimating them but little rabbit won't be able to relax.)
(We could also force our way in noble's estate but the estates around here are full of dirt, awaiting to be purged.)
(But it looks like this is her limit.)
(I wanted to isolate you and make you depend on me, but I never wanted to see you waste away like this.)
Gilbert: "Tomorrow, let's go somewhere where you can get a proper rest."
Emma: "No, please don't worry about me. It's not like camping is too hard for me or something..."
Gilbert: "Listen, a hostage does what they're told or forced to do it. Those are your only options."
Gilbert: "Besides, I wouldn't want my hostage to die from starvation."
Emma: "I'm sure I won't die just from this."
Gilbert: "No, you'll die."
Gilbert: "Without food, you'll die eventually."
Gilbert: "Is there anything you think you could manage to eat?"
Little rabbit paused for a minute, then shook her head.
Emma: ".....I'm so sorry."
Gilbert: "Apologizing to your wrongdoer—you've got quite peculiar hobby, don't you?"
Gilbert: "You're wondering right now: 'what will happen next? What will happen to me?'"
Gilbert: "'And if something will really happen, the only person I can rely on is bloody villain.'"
Gilbert: "'I'm so scared and anxious by this situation that I don't even have the capacity to feel hungry.'"
Gilbert: "Did you forget who put you in this situation?"
Emma: "....It was also my will."
Gilbert: "Ahaha, you call that sort of negotiation your will?"
Gilbert: "You're such a soft hearted soul, aren't you?"
(I can't do anything to help little rabbit out)
(It's not as if I'd ever consider sending her back to Rhodolite, after all.)
Gilbert: "Anyway, I'm the reason you're feeling so down, so you mustn't apologize to me."
Gilbert: "Well, if you can't eat, we can't help it. Little rabbit, do you think you'll be able to sleep?"
Emma: "I think I'll be able to."
Gilbert: "Well then, good night."
Emma: ".......Goodnight, prince Gilbert."
With a polite bow, little rabbit returned to the tent.
(I thought the little rabbit would be fine, but I suppose I shouldn't have expected that.)
(Even though she's so pure-hearted that she was chosen as Belle, she's still just an ordinary girl working at a bookstore.)
(......I wonder when was the last time my heart ached like this?)
Just as he passed by little rabbit, Roderic emerged from the shadows, his hood pulled low over his face.
Roderic: "Is a doctor required?"
Gilbert: "There's no point in getting her looked at by a doctor."
Gilbert: "But if things continue like this...."
Gilbert: "No, it's alright."
Roderic: "Do you have any plan in mind?"
Gilbert: "Of course. I can't have her getting sick in a place like this, after all."
(After all, I still have mountains of naughty things I want to do to little rabbit.)
I finished the soup little rabbit left behind and stood up.
Gilbert: "I'm taking one horse with me."
Roderic: "Please wait. What do you intend to do..."
Gilbert: "A little stroll."
Roderic: "You can't do that—are you planning to go on your own?"
Gilbert: "You look after little rabbit. If anything happens to her, I'll kill you."
Roderic: ".....But your health is..."
Before he slipped anything he shouldn't have, I pressed the tip of my cane against Roderic's throat.
Gilbert: "What was that?"
Gilbert: "Don't go blurting out anything unnecessary in front of little rabbit, okey?"
As I pressed my cane harder, Roderic stumbled slightly.
Gilbert: "I'm sure there was an annoying Lord just up ahead here."
Gilbert: "The emperor's fanatic, who's working the people of his land like slaves."
Gilbert: "I've been so busy to deal with it that I left it alone for ages, but it's about time I start a purge."
Roderic: "Surely you don't..."
Gilbert: "I'll be taking her to Obsidian castle, anyway. There's nowhere filthier than that place."
Gilbert: "If getting dirty is inevitable, it doesn't matter if it happens but sooner, does it?"
[Screen change — a mansion]
The filthy lord: "Eek, please stop!"
Gilbert: "Welp, bye bye."
Whew, this sure took a time to translate (ㄒoㄒ) I find it adorable how worried Gil is worried for his little rabbit. I'll try to translate for other characters as well, however, I can't get chapter 2 & 3 for all characters so I'll only be translating their first chapter.
